This edits out the ad breaks and on the off chance that they had accidentally chopped out the missing song I listened back to my own recording of the show as broadcast. The number 29 jingle was played before Slade and the number 27 jingle was played before Lady Gaga. After Slade it was straight into the adverts and then the news. Lady Gaga was played straight out of the news. The chart page wasn't updated either so the only hope of getting the missing position was if it was mentioned today (15th December), It was looking highly unlikely as we got to the top 20 and then a surprise! Chris Rea was played at 16 and Hix said that it was a climber. Admittedly he said it was climbing 8 places but having checked all the position jingles from last week the only position it could have been was 28. Using the internet archive website I've come across a couple of charts stored via the Cool FM url. Just to explain the charts are posted weekly on both Cool FM and Downtown's websites which are now part of the rayo brand having moved recently from Planet Radio. Although the page content is identical there are 2 separate pages which use the names of the stations. The charts below were found while searching under https://planetradio.co.uk/cool-fm/entertain...usic/ni-hit-40/ THe same charts would have been also found at the time using the same url with Downtown substituted for Cool FM. The following chart was captured at 10.37 pm on 27th November 2021. This was a Saturday so it is probably the chart broadcasted on Sunday 21st November as the page would normally be updated on the Monday. All 17 of the tracks that held on from the Christmas chart have climbed this week and the other 23 positions are occupied by 21 re-entries and 2 new entries. During the week when I checked the show's website I was surprised to see a chart posted with Mariah Carey at number 1 and the remainder of the chart looking like it was a new one that hadn't been broadcast. Had I struck gold? Well.. no! By the time I reached the mid 20s I realised that it was actually the chart from the previous week (the pre-Christmas one) with Mariah and Wham! accidentlyy put in the wrong order. The future breakers were back though why Perrie's track was played in that slot is a mystery as it has already appeared there twice and subsequently charted as a result. I've never heard him on air before though his voice is familiar as he seems to be at the majority of big concerts in Belfast with the Cool FM promotions van. Overall he did a good job although having announced Sexyy Redd and Bruno Mars as entering at 39 he then went on to say that the first new entry was Boyzlife at 38, something which he repeated later. However there are a couple of things which were nice to see! First of all the placing of the future breakers. There are usually 2 breaks for these, always after the number 34 and just ahead of the Top 20. This week there were only 2 songs featured but they came just ahead of the Top 20. Best of all we also had chart recaps for each set of 10 songs for the first time since I started listening to the show almost 3 years ago. Another break from the norm was that the Top 10 countdwn came after the number 2 rather than before it. And although they continue to use the jingles with DJ Hix mentioned they have dug out the numbers for the top 10. One interesting fact that Stuart pointed out. This week saw Cool FM's 35th birthday and one of the songs that was starting it's climb to number 2 that week Dirty Cash is in the Top 20 this week.

Again all 4 sections of the chart were recapped and the future breakers came just ahead of the top 20. And while DJ Hix's shows are clearly voice tracked Stuart was 100% live.
