Good hat trick for Amad and a win is a win but looked terrible again.

I wouldn’t see Garnacho either he’s a good young player but must have an attitude problem!

More likey they're on the end of PSR, so selling Garnacho is "pure profit". Clearly sounds like every player has a price.

Man Utd fans are very harsh on him & he gets a lot of criticism plus he’s struggling with the new system but I see a lot of potential. It looks like they’ll accept a 60 mill bid so hopefully he rejects the move but he’s already voiced displeasure at the hate he gets

Former Man United and Man City footballer Denis Law has died aged 84, RIP Denis.
In not watching Man Utd for the foreseeable future. Not worth it

I did say! Got very lucky against Southampton, the game changed when Dibling went off. Think United will back Amorim and it may work out as he can build a functional team, but there's so many bad players at United, just not sure how you get rid of them.

Guy needs to pick up a history book lol, we've been in the second division on multiple occasions in our history.

And this team might take us there again

Not sure what his game is to do this in public - can only assume it's because he wants money. But he has some cheek when he's playing 7 defenders every week. But I'm all for it for making the players and fans suffer!!!

On a more serious note, I just can't see how this ends up well.

He's just AVB part 2 imo, young manager, loads of hype, branded another Mourinho yet will be managing in China or Saudi within 10 years. Job is way way too big for him.

What else can you do at this point? Everybody hounded Rangick but his assessment turned out to be correct. Ten Haag spent 600 mill and made the squad worse. This guy has got to force people out or they’ll never leave. Man Utd don’t have one player that I consider world class. That has to change. Starting with the GK who is a calamity

I do think he’s started Maguire due to the back three he’s but also to highlight once again he’s not good enough for this level.

There's loads of different players though now, it just shows that it doesn't really matter who the manager is imo, I think the bigger part is culturally. Loads of players picking up huge paychecks. Pretty telling that in good results, Man Utd have just by-passed the midfield and played percentage football. Weirdly I think if you'd gone for someone like Marco Silva or date I even say.. Southgate - they'd work better with the toos. But the issue now is Man Utd have a manager who is not pragmatic and entirely wedded to his formation. Part of the issue of throwing most players under a bus, is it will take 3-4 transfer windows to get rid of people!

But the players that came in since are just not good enough. When you add the pressure of Man Utd, huge transfer fees and wages then the new players were never going to work out. Hoijund was a 1 in 3.5 man for Atlanta and Ten Haag spent 70 mill on him. That kind of thing sets you back because he’s just not good enough but has no incentive to leave and you’ll never recoup anywhere near what you paid. So there is a temptation to just stick with him and hope it works out but it won’t. Could this guy be AVB all over again? Maybe but he at least deserves a chance to bring him n his own players but it’s hard to do that after the mess Ten Haag left. They have to sell almost everybody and start again but I’ve been saying that for six years

All of this is easily solved though with a proper football structure. Let’s take Liverpool as an example, now we are at the extremes as we are very risk adverse when it comes to transfers, but we buy players who fit the ethos, or who we could flip for a profit if they don’t work out. That’s not to say we don’t make bad transfers still or everyone is super frustrated when we don’t buy players when there’s an obvious gap, but our success rate of transfers over the last 10 years is insane. What’s even more bonkers is you had a football structure in place, then Ratcliffe chose to ignore it! I think Amorim is a bad fit because if he gets his players and it goes wrong, then you’re back to square one again.

Plus with the optics in the transfer market at the moment, you either have to massively over spend or look for the next big thing. I totally agree taking Hojlund as an example it was a bad move. He needed another year/two at Atalanta to see if he progressed. But I also think that summer was a bit of fomo. If I remember correctly Haaland, Isak, Vlahovic, Kane, Nunez all moved within the last 12 months and there was a bit of max thing about strikers.

Antony was worth £25mill Hoijund £30 mill Onana Inter got on a free I believe and a year later Man Utd paid £45 mill for him. That kind of stuff kills years because you can’t undo overspend by £200 mill easily. Sure structure matters but you can’t spend a billion on average players and expect anything to work out from there. Ultimately it would have been better to just not buy anyone and play youth players. The club got desperate and paid the price. Casemiro was a desperate signing. Man Utd had Sancho & Amad but splashed out £90 mill on Antony who plays the same position. Even if he was great they didn’t need a right winger or should have sold one of them first. Man Utd had Bruno but signed Mount for £70 mill who plays the same position. What’s going on there? No manager should be green lighting those moves but no manager would have done anything with Man Utd given those moves. They need to accept there is no quick fix. Start again. Sell 70% of the players and then become a powerhouse again. You have to give Amorim time in my opinion because he has walked into a failing club and his history with Sporting suggests he can fix those situation so it’s worth seeing it out.
