Bruno is finished, 1 good game in every 5 at best.

I don't disagree, but he's still one of the best of a bad bunch (which says a lot)

  • He's been on par with Chelsea's Robert Sanchez this season who is also shockingly mistake-prone for a 'top' team. At least they've had the foresight to kick him out of the team (even though the backup

The younger and cheaper list is definitely the way to go. Only problem is in that 15-18 market the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea exploit it quite well so it’s saturated. But on the whole it’s really low risk, you might spend a small outlay at the start, but even if most of them don’t work out, there’s pure profit. Issue is though you have to play them! I think part of Man Utd’s struggle is they’re looking for big marquee signings and short term fixes.

If you look at the world’s biggest ever transfers.

Coutinho to Barca

Pepe to arsenal

Lukaku to Man Utd and Chelsea

Neymar to al hilal

Felix to Atletico Madrid

Dembele to Barca

Pogba to Man Utd

Hazard to Madrid

Antony to Man Utd

They rarely ever workout for some reason

I think people at the top seem to think the more you spend the more guaranteed success is. Clearly not the case.

Yeah i left him out as he did win the treble but overall he’s been a gigantic flop
45 minutes away from being Amorim out. The team isn’t creating anything ever
Bizarre. Crying out for a left back then he puts him on the right it truly makes no sense. Garnacho has made a big difference in this half so far
Offside goal to steal it against Leicester at home. I’ll take it but a lot……..of room for improvement
Let's buy a brand new left back and play him on the right, Amorim is a true visionary!

Not seen anything of the game so I can't comment, but doing that is absolutely bonkers. Sounds like you were poor again at home (and Diallo no shot OT ). Can only assume the linesman are so used to VAR that they probably realised a bad error., but it was too late. otherwise that is incompetence at its finest!

I’m sure Sancho has played enough games Chelsea are forced to buy him now but I never rated him and I think this is a good description of how he plays. You’re always waiting for more and it just never comes.

Should Man Utd prioritise the cups? The league it doesn’t really matter if you finish 11th or 15th and winning the europa league is an entry into the champions league which the club desperately needs that money

Honestly, yes we should. We're probably not getting even top half let alone top 7/8 or whatever it is to get Europe these days. I know there's this stigma of being a "cup team" but I'd still take that over Arsenal's finishing second and winning nothing every season. Europa League should be a massive priority, there's no reason why we can't have a good run at that and like you say winning it would sneak us back into the Championship League like we did in 2016.

I really couldn't care less about the league games now, don't even watch them anymore. We literally only need to pick up a win every 5 games to eliminate genuine relegation threat. My main concern is that we played so badly against Leicester that it only needs to be marginally better opponent and we're toast in both cups.

I’m sick of this guy and his penny pinching. Why did he even want to buy into Man Utd if he has no money?

And it’s not just with Man Utd they breached a contract they had with New Zealand because they had no money https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/feb/...eos-sponsorship

Because ultimately Ratcliffe is a businessman. Suspect the large part of it is any growth directly connected to Old Trafford or a new stadium is what really peaked up interest. I think naively he suspected the football costs would be lower too, or at least the club would be consistently in the Champions League.

Personally the big elephant in the room is the squad costs so much to run and even if there are efficiencies in terms of staff and restructures, the club has wasted so much money on the first team that it’s hard to stomach.

Then sell players? Instead of cutting hundreds of necessary jobs. It just defies logic. He’s turning Man Utd into a small-team off the pitch as well
The logical option but who one earth wants any of our players? And of course most of them have massively devalued now so there'd be massive losses. Plus whenever we want anyone the selling club will always screw us over thanks to precedent.

Take a loss on all of them. Casemiro has no business hanging around. Give Shaw half his contract then cancel it and let him sign somewhere else. Take £15 mill for Mount. Why is Lindeloff still hanging around? I mean the choices aren’t great but this just looks cheap and desperate
