Kuedo thread

Have seen a couple of other people mentioning Kuedo in the personal charts forum now (:hi: Dandy*, Jade and Kath) so thought I may as well make a thread for him as he's just recently dropped a rather good new album ~

Some of you if you have a weirdly good memory might remember Kuedo from my lower midtable Club Bizarre $ma$h 'Ascension Phase' in 2019 (it was actually a song from his 2011 album 'Severant'). Well he's now finally back with his first release since 2016, and his third album in all 'Infinite Window', dropping on the Brainfeeder label which is/was also home to the likes of Iglooghost, Ross From Friends and TOKiMONSTA to give a rough idea of the sort of lane he's in.

Blending synth-driven avant garde compositions and thunderous drum programming, the album sonics owe as much to modern R&B icons like Frank Ocean and The Weeknd as they do to legendary composers such as David Axelrod, Tangerine Dream and the sadly recently-departed Vangelis or contemporary breakbeat aficionados such as Sully and Jlin.

There were 3 singles that dropped before the album, the title track is my fave with 'Shadow Dance' just behind :heart:

From the album tracks I am also loving 'Harlequin Hallway', 'Time Glide' and 'Skybleed Magic'!

I think he has a rather unique sound, has been great to have more music from him at last so many years after I stumbled across 'Ascension Phase' and a few other highlights from 'Severant'. Now hoping he doesn't vanish for another 6 years before we get another follow-up :kink:
