as we know a big song is coming our way in the summer of 2007 a possible monster a "hip's don't lie" part 2 in the making, the wyclef featuring shakira track called "L-O-V-E" the song is already completed and will be on wyclef's new album called "The Second Wind"

rumour has it, it uses a sample from shakira's song "Un poco de amor" (see/hear above) from her 1996 album "Pies Descalzos" question is which part will he sample or should he smaple? the beat, the verse, the chorus, the "rock it out and rocket it" rap? do you think its a good idea to sample this track?

love the Un Poco vid

Ive been thinking about this, but Im not sure wether it'll be an uptempo song like hdl, but Im thinking it could be a mellower version of it, given UPDA is a relaxing summery track

I Love this song  I really do but I hate the idea of beeing sample for a hip hop song -_- <_< -_- shakira shouldn't have done that -_- :(

i think it will work! the original has the reggae vibe and i don't think wyclef will take it out of this sound by making it pure hip hop he may update it, i hope we get fusion like HDL, she's in safe hands wyclef (apart from the tom jones awfulness he produced) he knows what he is doing with samples just look at his perfect use of the enya track for the fugees monster "ready or not" quality all the way, i'm sure i'm going to love "L-O-V-E"

I reckon it will work well :D Although I'm not sure I believe it since it's from Wikipedia.

Un Poco De Amor is such a great song :D I'm hoping they make a song like Dude by Beenie Man  I would cream my jeans if they did that!!

oh yes "Dude" is good  great to dance too but maybe a bit basic :P i want more production with the track :P some fusion elements bring in latin sounds, its gonna be good i'm sure wyclef would have had plenty of time since shakira recorded with him to tweak the production it to make it sound better and better like shakira did tweaking la tortura for a month :cheer: gotta love tweaking

''Dude'' is awesome  I could imagine that like this as well now you mention it! :o

Has the UPDA been confirmed yet though, or is it still from wiki?

I had a horrible vision that this will be a cover of the Ashlee Simpson song 'L.O.V.E'

Glad you like it :D Un Poco is one of my fave Shakira songs :D

People say how Shakira sold out by going with a rapper but if that's the case, then Shakira sold out 10 years ago when she recorded this...well actually, I s'pose she sold out when she did Lejos De Tu Amor cuz that has a rapper on it too

oh dear i wrote smaple :o

i love it too, it still sounds so good, HDL was not a great depature for her mixing latin and black music together....she did it 10 years ago, and i can't wait for part 2 with wyclef again, i really hope he samples "Un poco de amor"

i'd keep the beat but update the production, keep the intro but with wyclef rapping and still have the "ah ah ah ah" shakira vocal parts change the verses to first half wyclef then shakira, keep the chorus and "rockit up rock it in" by wyclef have shakira on the chorus too instead of singing "buscando un poco de amor" she sings "all we need is a little more love" or something like that

i think this song will be about word peace and harmony, maybe directed at world leaders that are lacking in love, a political dimension to the track is a strong possibility like the rapping by wyclef in HDL with the refugees and CIA part references, i'm almost certain sony tried to put a stop to it on HDL but it was a big hit regardless so shakira and wyclef may get braver with "L-O-V-E"

^^ that sounds great, although i don't know if they'd try to be that serious with a song, considering hdl only had that one line

true they could sneak just a little politics in keep it subtle, make the song braod about needing more love in the world
