Posted September 19, 20222 yr As the doors close for the final date of the Chromatica Ball and the era officially comes to an end (as far as we know), we will be reliving each and every moment from this sensational, trouble-ridden, iconic era. From the release of the debut single right up to the final date of the Chromatica Ball, let's relive it all from day 1. I will post regular updates for each significant milestone - please comment along, share your thoughts and let's reminisce what has become one of her most defining eras of music. #CHROMATICAFOREVER⚔️💓
September 19, 20222 yr Author I can't wait for this to unfold! In particular, I can't wait to relive the VMAs performance and the memes that came out of the Ball  It's going to be a fun (and occassionally bumpy x) ride What are you looking forward to? Strap yourselves in!
September 19, 20222 yr Omg yes, looking forward to this thread, especially the single launches, VMAs and the tour (not so much what happened - or more specifically, didn't happen - in between) Looking back at it now, crazy that she was able to film a starring role in a successful movie in the middle of the era.
September 19, 20222 yr Author It's a weird era in which SO MUCH and yet comparatively, so little has happened. I guess it's because it spun over 2 years with huge gaps in the middle that it's hard to determine how packed the era actually was. Hopefully this thread helps to uncover forgotten moments.
September 19, 20222 yr Author Stupid Love single announcement February 25th 2020 On the 25th February, Gaga announced the lead single for her 6th studio album (as of then, unnamed). She teased the release of the single for a few days: @1232347823787560960 @1232735454992068608
September 19, 20222 yr A bop!! I remember listening the leak in January and it was even played at our Gaga party in early February. I still think it's a great first single and introduction to the era and its aesthetics.
September 19, 20222 yr Author I listened to the leak in low quality and it kept buffering AFAIK so I was still so hyped for the official release. Between her first announcement and the release date there was hardly any build up :o
September 19, 20222 yr Author !!! Yes leak saga predates any of this and started the era in iconic fashion
September 19, 20222 yr Author Stupid Love single teasers February 27th 2020 This also included a teaser of the music video which featured 'Chromatica I' the opening track for the album to be released a few months later! @1232900786486558720 @1233121910931615744
September 19, 20222 yr I avoided the 'Stupid Love' leak! But then came across that fake "rain rain go away" leak for 'Rain On Me' and thought it was real  I didn't love 'Stupid Love' as much as I wanted to, considering it was the big return of the PopGa sound, but it has been a bit of a slow burner.
September 19, 20222 yr Author I remember being very intrigued by the orchestral music and sign language in the teaser! The looks.... happened too :kink: Omg at #ShotOniPhone too what a time to be alive!
September 20, 20222 yr that was an odd time as the single had leaked weeks before the announcement and they just let it sit there and did nothing about the leak
September 20, 20222 yr Author Stupid Love is released as the album's first single February 28th 2020 Gaga releases the lead single of the album on this day. The single and music video are released together @1233256476614877184 5L6xyaeiV58 What are your thoughts on Stupid Love as the album's lead single? What do you think about the music video? How have thoughts changed since day 1?
September 20, 20222 yr I still like it, it's a carefree bop with a good message, yearning for love. The video is....not among her best but I like the outfits and the Mad Max -esque aesthetics. Edited September 20, 20222 yr by Sour Candy
September 20, 20222 yr Author The video ranks as one of her worst for me. I can't really watch it and enjoy it unironically. The song however is a fun bop! It went off live too. Do I think it's top half of the album? Probably not, but it did the job it needed to decently enough. Top 5 around the globe!
September 20, 20222 yr It was the lead single I wanted at the time 'Applause' came along and completely underwhelmed me, and then 'Perfect Illusion' wasn't really it for a lead single either (much as I like that song). It was a nice 3-minute burst of energy to start the era with, although admittedly the album itself has more 'interesting' tracks it did the job.
September 20, 20222 yr Author Oh yes, certainly stronger than Perfect Illusion and Applause for me! But those albums didn't have as many choices to replace them, whereas this album has a tonne.
