What could they have done about the leak once it's out there? :unsure:

 

a rush release... it was literally weeks until they even announced it as a single after the leak.

It was so good to have another GAGAVISION. They're always a treat :wub: I wish there was more of a push for the single on socials/streaming etc though~

Glad we got the Gagavision at least... It was a bizarre time as the covid pandemic was just about to explode. They must have been a bit clueless what to do with rest of the project and then she did the One World: Together at Home thing which was great promo even without being attached to any single/album.

Yeah such a strange time. Pretty much a few days after the single dropped she was posting about Corona and going into lockdown:

 

"Now it’s as important as ever to be kind. For those who are sick, or those who are not and are scared. We’re in this together. I love you world"

 

So I talked to some doctors and scientists. It’s not the easiest for everyone right now but the kindest/healthiest thing we can do is self-quarantine and not hang out with people over 65 and in large groups. I wish I could see my parents and grandmas right now but it’s much safer to not so I don’t get them sick in case I have it. I’m hanging at home with my dogs. I love you world, we’ll all get through this. Trust me, I talked to God —she said we’re gonna be ok.

 

This is reminding I think a lot of us what it is to both feel like and be a human being. I think it’s so important to acknowledge that we are and must be a global kind singular community. We can’t do this without kindness. And corona virus is not prejudiced. My thought for the day is to accept there will be times we feel powerless and out of control—but we can fill that space with kindness and be a part of the solution to a world problem. We then have control. We can create healing by learning how to be kind and take care of each other and ourselves during this time.

Gaga announces the name of her 6th studio album

Without revealing the artwork, Gaga announced the name (and this placeholder) for her 6th studio album. She announced that it was coming in April, but the release was delayed from this date.

Were you a fan of the album's name? What did you expect from it at this stage?

I was super HYPED about the title.

The name is genius - it's become its own brand. A great marketing ploy and it totally delivered. I wish she'd realised the concept of this ~planet~ more as originally planned though.

The title Chromatica immediately told us that there would be a concept and ambition behind it. Not that I ever questioned it, but it was a great day for a LM.

The sine symbol is so bold and brilliant too. Little did we know it was going to be the basis for one of the most striking album covers yet!

I love the album title (her best album yet).

In terms of titles, I'd probably rank it around the same as The Fame Monster which I thought was a genius name for the reinvention of the debut album.

Gaga announces THE CHROMATICA BALL

The first announcement for the Chromatica Ball came a few days after the first single premiered and the album name was announced. We know that these dates were nowhere near accurate because things were about to change for the worse...

Yes!!! That was a bumpy ride!! :lol:

 

Love that 6 concerts turned into 20 in the end though

I told another adult to watch my class so I could sneak away and book the tickets :lol: I was successful and have to compose myself / hold back tears when returning to class. :kink:
