It was such a shame this wasn´t #1 for them as most people do love it and the dance routine is still remembered till this day :cheer:

What a classic / album opener :cheeseblock: They returned with a BANG. Also adore the music video and everything about the song.

(:hi: I haven't purchased the anniversary edition vinyl etc, because I have the original on vinyl already, but here to stream and celebrate for this masterpiece album. Also seen a lot of the bad vibes about the bonus tracks/live versions, so I'm intrigued to see what the mess is about :P )

Welcome everyone :cheeseblock:

I think I can guarantee you #messT with some of the bonus tracks at least :teresa:

Aww thanks, Jay for using the image

My favourite single along with Too Much. Such a great opener.

 I love all of those posts so I thought they'd look great here!

I always loved this back in 97/98 but as the years went on it wasn't up there for me with SUYL, Too Much or VF, but now I absolutely love it and I think it's aged like a fine wine. Such an iconic track. Happy it's done well in the streaming era too
One of their weaker singles for me - and definitely the weakest on Spiceworld.

Hunnah log off :)

Stop :cheeseblock:

I think it rather deservedly became one of their ultimate classics after Wannabe, even with it famously missing out on #1. That iconic dance routine! :cheeseblock: So much fun. I find it interesting that they made a song that was so blatantly about Simon Fuller, and yet he didn't seem to mind it? Or maybe he didn't make the connection?

Too Much - Track 3 on the ‘Spiceworld’ album 💙

The second single to be released from the album. ‘Too Much’ was the group’s sixth consecutive UK No.1 and second consecutive UK Christmas No.1, selling over 252,000 in its first week!

Fun fact - The line ‘what part of no don’t you understand’ was inspired by a slogan on a T-shirt that Geri had seen

Written by Spice Girls, Andy Watkins and Paul Wilson (Absolute)

I love Too Much and i kinda hate some fans say this is a weak single , the movie version with the longer intro was everything
My favourite. I know ballads like 2B1, VF and Goodbye might be stronger but the sound of this is so nostalgic. I love it and they all sound amazing on the record.

There’s a reason it didn’t hit number 1 hun lol!

And that reason was lack of taste!!

Too Much  Such a classy song, and I think Melanie C in particular really shines on this one. Takes me right back to Christmas 97.

Much prefer the video without the movie scenes interspersed!

Have big love for Too Much - in my Top 5 for sure!

Definitely!

Although they can never capture its excellence live like they do with their other ballads!

Saturday Night Divas - Track 4 on the ‘Spiceworld’ album 💚

The song was in response to past boyfriends and partners who had sold their stories to the tabloids.

Emma’s lyric pointed this out very clearly - “You’re a twisted lover, kiss and telling on a superstar”.

Fun fact - The song has only been performed live once during the 1997 Istanbul concert

Written by Spice Girls, Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard and Matt Rowe

Get down, deeper and down

I feel like this song is quietly one of their best album tracks... it's great, very funky but smooth~!

This album track has gotten better with age. Tied with Do It as my favourite album track. I love the outro on the Istanbul concert used in the credits
Saturday Night Divas  I loved the live version they did at Istanbul and it´s a shame they never performed it again.

Edited by Maz!

I also love the last line of the chorus with Mel B’s ad-lib. Wonder why it was taken out of the final mix?
