In Love For Sale, Gaga and Tony joined together to record a cover of Cole Porter's original song from back in 1936. It was introduced that year in the Eleanor Powell musical film Born to Dance in which it was performed by Virginia Bruce. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song that year and later became a signature song for Frank Sinatra.

I love this one too. The song also tops a list of four songs receiving the exact same average and me having to separate them by individual scores :gaga:

I've been through the mill of love

Title track starts off our top 5, but it ties with exact same scores and averages as the next song so it's in at #4! The original song was written from the viewpoint of a prostitute advertising "love for sale". With this context it is strange to see the pair put their own spin on it, but alas they offer it new life. It was originally introduced by Kathryn Crawford in the musical The New Yorkers.

In joint 4th place, from the debut jazz album, comes Gaga and Tony's cover of the 1931 original composition by Duke Ellington. A jazz standard, in their cover of it Gaga and Tony alternate between the verses before joining together for it and giving us a plethora of doo-wahs.

Night and day, you are the one

In 3rd place, we have a beautiful, subtle ballad oozing with class and elegance. Written by Cole Porter for the 1932 musical Gay Divorce, it is considered to be one of his most popular contributions. The song is about pure love, a love that is not affected by time of day or place.

I think this is growing on me a lot more as a result of this rate. I should've given it a higher score (which would've meant it may have WON given how close it all is)
