Kicking off the top 100 this year is the first entry from the other K-Pop group that has consistent success in my charts, Itzy. This is a Japanese release from them and didn't seem to get as promoted as their Korean language singles. It didn't make much difference to me as there's still plenty of English language used in Voltage. The catchiness of their hits remained in this so I feel it was a tad unlucky to as overlooked as it was. Itzy still have two more entries to come.

This song peaked at #2 in the quietest week of the year in my chart and was pretty close to being the #1. But it fell away very quickly and just about ends up scrapping the top 100. The song that piped it to the top will be appearing pretty soon too. After Camila used Ed Sheeran to get a hit on her album, she tried to build on the hype and earn some street cred by releasing this collaboration with Willow although it never really seemed to catch on at all. I think she might have been better with sticking with the more Latin-influenced tracks on the album as that's where it shone for me and her entry still to come is reflective of that.

After the depressing nature of debut, I can really appreciate the lighter and happier tone in this one.

AJ has been one of the biggest hitmakers in my chart of recent times with top 10 EOY placings in three of the last four years so for this to be his only entry in 2022 is a huge disappointment from him. He's recently said that he's on 'album mode' for 2023 so hopefully better is to come but his 22 releases have suggested an artist not on top form. This is still pretty fun though. AJ flows effortlessly like usual and sounds great over a drill beat.

Earthgang remain to be two of the most interesting and original voices in Hip-Hop and while their album of the same name didn't quite live up to my expectation, there was still decent stuff to be found on there like this track. What makes them great is their everchanging cadence and ability weave between different, explosive flows that always keep you guessing. The energy on this one just hits different. It feels triumphant and that hook is designed to stick in your head.

This beat Camila in the quiet week I mentioned before and fell away just as quickly as that did. 'Have Mercy' was such a great solo introduction from Chlöe so the hype was certainly there for this one but it's just not as good as it needed to be. It's still catchy but its missing what made her debut single so special. I have hope for the album but I'm starting to feel like she releases her best work when she's with her sister.

With so many of my faves not releasing anything in 2022 (Ariana, Little Mix. Watsky until the last 2 weeks), I needed to find some new people to stan and Sabrina stepped up to the plate with this being the first of six entries in the top 100 for her. It's also a rare song that didn't make my weekly top 10 to achieve such a feat, peaking at #11. But as you can see, it was in my top 50 most played songs on last.fm this year thanks to my love of the album so it fully deserves a place here. I remember that it was initially not a favourite of mine but was one that really continued to grow the more I listened to the album. The chorus is one that doesn't feel massive the first time you hear it but it really sticks with you and gives it such replayability

Three of the biggest names from the OFB collective came together to release this track clowning on E1 from their rival gang N9. Long story short, E1 was found to have leaked the location of M24 & Tion Wayne's video shoot to another gang and ended up getting beat up by other N9 members and OFB just couldn't resist making a track at his expense. I think it was this context that gave the song enough exposure to become each rapper's first hit for a while. One interesting thing I just noticed about this one: there is not one swear word used throughout the whole song. Impressive for such a track.

Nothing from his album, but we do get this two minute interlude from the Black Panther soundtrack from Stormzy. This is a lot better than it has any right to be. Stormzy's singing voice has never sounded better than over this calm but dramatic production from Ludwig Göransson and it sounds even more epic when in context of the film.

This is a much better dance-rap track from Bugzy than 'Out of Nowhere' so it's a shame to see that it couldn't perform anywhere near as well. It's also nice to get hits from rappers outside of London with Manchester's Bugzy and Birmingham's Mist working together a treat.

Aside from a couple of features, Dave gave us two releases this year after the 'We're All Alone' era came to a close and the second of which was to celebrate his birthday and is a follow-up to his earlier 'My 19th Birthday'. It's focuses on a similar idea where he breaks down in detail his worries and problems at his current age. Dave loves showing off by allowing his beats ride out at the end and the beat switch in this one is one of his best. If you want to know how I spent my 24th Birthday earlier last year, I actually started it be travelling home after going to see Dave live in concert the night before.
