Australia are on the verge of victory inside three days in the third Test against India after Nathan Lyon claimed eight for 64 in Indore on Thursday.

Following a first-innings score of 109, India were dismissed for 163 in their second go.

Australia need just 76 to win - but have to score them on a pitch where 30 wickets have fallen within two days.

Bangladesh beat world champions England comfortably by six wickets in the first T20 international in Chattogram.

Opener Najmul Hossain Shanto struck an impressive 51 from 30 balls as the Tigers reached their target of 157 with two overs to spare.

Shanto added 65 for the third wicket with debutant Towhid Hridoy, who made 24, as the hosts adapted better to a slow, sluggish pitch.

The second of three T20s takes place on Sunday in Mirpur.

It is Bangladesh's first win over England in a T20, though it is only the second time the teams have met in the format.

This fourth and final test between India and Australia looks like it’ll be the first one to go the distance this series. Will probably be a draw though, barring a collapse by either side.

"I don't ever think there's a perfect time for a decision like this," he said.

"But I've been considering my options for some time, and an opportunity came up which was too good to turn down.

Domestic final currently on in Australia, Day 2.

South Africa chased 259 - the highest pursuit in T20 history - to beat West Indies by six wickets in a record-breaking second T20 international.

Opener Quinton de Kock smashed 100 from 44 balls as the hosts incredibly won with seven balls to spare in Centurion.

Johnson Charles had earlier hit a 39-ball century in West Indies' 258-5, the fastest T20 ton for their men's side.

But De Kock and Reeza Hendricks, who hit 68 from 28, shared an opening stand of 152 and the Proteas won at a canter.

Ireland coach Heinrich Malan insists his side are "excited" going into the T20 series against Bangladesh despite their one-day hammerings by the hosts.

The Irish suffered 183-run and 10-wicket one-day defeats in Sylhet either side of weather saving them from another thumping in game two.

And they will be facing a Bangladesh that beat world champions England 3-0 in the T20 format earlier this month.

"The shorter the format, the more that every team is in the game," said Malan.

"It's going to be a great challenge. A couple of weeks ago, they've beaten the world champions in this format.

"But in the same breath, we're really excited about that. We've shown as well in the World Cup that we can play a brand that is exciting, that people want to watch."

South Africa closed in on October's 50-over World Cup with an empathic 146-run win over the Netherlands - and ensured West Indies went into the qualifiers.

The victory took South Africa into eighth and the final qualification spot in the International Cricket Council's World Cup Super League table.

Ireland must win all three of their games against Bangladesh from 9-14 May to match South Africa's 98 points.

Net run-rate would then decide who progresses to the World Cup.

The other side will join two-time World Cup winners West Indies in the qualifiers, which take place in Zimbabwe between 18 June and 9 July.
