Posted January 27, 20232 yr New album from British 'art pop' artist Låpsley (I guess it goes in this forum, this is where her previous album threads were x), dropped last week. You may remember her from BJSC 2nd place hit 'Hurt Me', she also made the UK top 40 with her debut album in 2016 though the follow-up in 2020 didn't chart. Not seen much fanfare about new music from her but I really liked the single 'Hotel Corridors' with its bleeps and bloops so given this a go. '32 Floors', 'Dial Two Seven' and 'Smoke And Fire' were also dropped as singles last year and 'Lifeline' was the final teaser dropped a day before the album. Those first 3 didn't make much of an impression on me when I first heard them but I enjoyed '32 Floors' a lot more on the album at least, has a cool reggaetón-esque production swerve. 'Lifeline' is really nice too! Nothing else on here is half as good as 'Hotel Corridors' tbh but a few other solid album tracks, 'Close To Heaven' has a lovely feature from South African singer Msaki, also enjoyed 'Levitate', 'Nightingale' and the slightly darker sounding 'Pandora's Box'. -4szr0EMrgk ksP2_dvtiMQ BTB3WizVjHM KIc74K2Q5HE avrsUSbpFbA
