Matt Lucas and David Walliams have confirmed that they are getting back together to bring back Little Britain, but with no controversial characters they've said.

The show was definitely a product of its time where 15 years ago you could've got away with more on TV however Marjorie Dawes, Ting Tong and Maggie Blackmoor will not be appearing. For now, no network has picked it up but I wouldn't be surprised if the BBC pass on it.

We are missing a good sketch show to be honest but I do wonder if they can capture the essence of the original series and who they would actually bring back as characters.

The original series is available on iPlayer, but now with content warnings and scenes edited out, having previously been removed in 2020.

This could be fine. The original series was funny and was a reflection of its time - and despite it having characters that were based out of racism, the point of the sketches was always to highlight those traits within middle Britain. The sketch with the middle class Christian vomiting over the mention of anything Asian was pretty accurate tbh.

Matt has confirmed it's not Little Britain but more of a "spiritual successor to Come Fly With Me" featuring new characters
