TIPs Chart Singles Prediction Game

STARTING AGAIN FOR 2007!!!

 

Each week I will ask you to predict where 14 (mainly new) singles are going to be in the following Sunday's chart.

 

If it is a quiet week (Which it will be for a few weeks) I will ask you to predict some records that are already in the chart rather than ask you to predict some single that you have never heard of & which will probably fail to make the Top75.

 

The point scoring will be as before (10 pts if spot on with your prediction down to 1 pt if you are 9 positions out. A 75+ prediction if correct will still be worth 5 Points).

 

If a single is pulled from release or non-chart eligible then everyone's prediction for that question will be void and everyone will be awarded 5 points. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN THIS THREAD IF ONE OF THE SINGLES I ASK YOU TO PREDICT IS PULLED SO I CAN SCORE ACCORDINGLY

 

I will ask three bonus questions which require a Yes or No answer. Each bonus question is worth 20 Pts.

 

Therefore each week there will be a maximum of 200 Points to gain.

For 2007 I'm starting off from scratch with a brand new Leaderboard and please remember the OCC rules are changing on January 1st 2007 which will allow a number of records that are currently "starred out" (i.e. Chasing Cars; Maneater; Crazy; etc) to count inside the UK Top75.

I only used that format because BuzzJack was growing as a site, and I wanted to encourage new players to join in playing the Game as BuzzJack grew its membership.

 

What I'm likely to do for 2007 is have two Leaderboards:

 

1. Based on the Overall Score throughout the year (to benefit the core 11/12 same players who play every week).

2. Based on the average score per Game (to benefit newer players).

The song has held so well- if they hadn't of deleted it after only 6/7 weeks, it would have sold bucketloads more.
