Have you put any bets on yet? I'm tempted with Sweden and Finland.

I'll update the odds as and when as we get closer to the big event!

When/if Loreen wins, I’ll be tempted by a bet on Ukraine, assuming their odds will drift even further. I think it’s really hard to rule out another win for them while this war is still ongoing/with a final that is going to celebrate Ukrainian culture so prominently.
Temptef to out one on for Ellie and Calvin before they are announced. Ukraine might win automatically though, so hmm. Uak's odds will shorten feamatically after March 10 One Show.

Finland as low as 7/2. So tempted with them @ 7/1 :cheeseblock:

UK plummeting in the odds :drama:

11/10 Sweden

9/2 Ukraine

5/1 Finland

17/1 Norway

22/1 Israel

25/1 Czech Republic

28/1 Spain

28/1 United Kingdom

33/1 Austria

40/1 France

We’re never usually that high to plummet, 28/1 is still way above most years

But yeah, it’s obviously not a winner in any capacity.

If anything I’m encouraged that we’re still safely top ten in the odds.

The way the song has been received on Buzzjack you’d think we should have dropped 20 places after the reveal, not only two.

Sweden an even bigger favourite now Loreen is confirmed. I think that sounds about right, I wouldn’t be surprised if Finland beat Sweden on the televote but I can see Sweden winning the jury vote with Finland considerably further back on that, so on balance she should probably edge it.

I haven't put any money on this year yet, anyone else?

I can't see past Sweden or Finland winning, and their odds are both so short. So correctly guessing who might come 3rd/4th and going for an each way might be a better bet.

Or maybe putting money on potential shock qualifiers, but are there likely to be any??

Scratch that as Finland are shortening too quickly so I've got to bet now, although could only afford £30. A televote landslide of sorts seems quite likely for Finland and could at a push be enough to offset Sweden's jury advantage.

So:

£10 on Finland to win outright @ 9/4

£1 on Sweden to win outright @ 8/13 (the other obvious choice, there's no point putting much on as the odds are so short, but it does feel like there's a good path to victory if the televote isn't too far behind Finland)

£2 on Ukraine each-way @ 10/1 (not banking on them winning, but could definitely see 3rd or 4th - I reckon their staging will be super slick, it has a good draw, they'll still have televote goodwill and I don't think the juries will sink it)

£3 on Norway each-way @ 16/1 (sure to be a post-contest smash, let's see if Alessandra can grab 3rd or 4th - hoping the juries pull through for her)

£2 on United Kingdom each-way @33/1 (every year I put a patriotic bet on unless it's a complete no-hoper, but realistically low top 10 to teens feels more like where UK will end up)

£5 on Malta to qualify @ 2/1 (I know everything from their draw to Malta's poor televote record suggests this should be a no-hoper in a televote only semi, but Europe loves a party song and a sax, hopefully they can pull through as this would be great to see in the final)

Of course, France and Spain are likely to do very, very well in the jury vote and could also be top four but I'm not really sold on the televote chances of either atm.

Ah sorry, can somebody combine with Jase's topic please.

I think 7/1 is a great price for Finland! *.*

I almost put a bet on that too! Decided to stop at £30 but can very much see that happening.
Don't know if I'd commit to making this an actual bet or not but Serbia to not qualify and Czechia top 4 would be my best value bets I'd think about.

Top 10 odds;

3/4 Sweden

5/2 Finland

14/1 Ukraine

16/1 Spain

17/1 France

20/1 Norway

28/1 Israel

40/1 Austria

50/1 Italy

66/1 United Kingdom

I agree on Poland to qualify - it's very much a bop and should sail through on televote only even if the vocals are reportedly not great.

Those odds for Finland look quite tempting. Sweden winning the jury and Finland the televote seems quite a likely outcome at this point.
