Former S Club 7 pop star Rachel Stevens has decided to take time out from singing after her debut album bombed in the charts.

 

Stevens is temporarily abandoning her singing ambitions in the hopes of pursing an acting career in Los Angeles.

 

She says she has even decided to study method acting at a drama school to help further her chances.

 

However, Stevens is not turning her back on music altogether, saying she hopes to make a comeback further down the track with a totally different sound.

Wasn't it?

Was come and get it released in Australia? If so it may of been her first one there.

I wanted a new album this year :(

Just as long as she is doing something with her carrer and her talents, I'm fine.

Come and Get It was one of the best pop albums EVER as far as I'm concerned ... but, Emma Bunton's new album hasn't done too well and she's in a similar situation to Rachel so maybe music isn't the best option ...

 

That said, I'd love her to do music again at some point, but for now I'm happy for her to do what she wants.

Good move IMO. She will probably release something around the end of 2008.
