There was a movie I saw last year where 2 people on a diving holiday get left behind by the boat and have to survive in the water then get eaten by sharks or something, I can't remember the name though and it was absolute $h!t

"Open Water".... And with reference to another thread, THAT was another film I fell asleep watching.... How the hell a 70-odd minute film could be so fukkin' TEDIOUS and BORING is frankly beyond me....

Other good 'Creature Features'...

"The Host" (v. cool Korean sci-fi/horror/family drama..)

"Gojira" (the original Japanese "Godzilla")

"King Kong" - both the 30s original and Peter Jackson's astounding remake..

"Alien"

"Them" (extremely silly, but hugely fun 50s Sci-Fi about giant ants.. )

"Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (take your pick, but I have a preference for The 70s version..)

"Creature From the Black Lagoon"

Aah that's the one :) it was utterly dire :o I can not think of a more boring film I have seen in recent years

I have a soft spot for a horrible 1972 film called "Frogs" where a family is killed off by spiders, snakes, lizards, snapping turtles, and of course frogs.

I'm going again with a sentimental choice but growing up I absolutely loved the 1962 film King Kong vs. Godzilla. I must not be alone - I just checked imdb and there is currently a bitter, months-long argument over who actually wins in the end. oh god how I hate imdb forums
