October 9, 20231 yr Those figures are insane! I am super shocked and pleasantly surprised. Hope it can maintain healthy numbers now.
October 9, 20231 yr I feel like those figures will drop once it moves over to ITV2 as more people obviously watch ITV1 but still it’s a good start !
October 9, 20231 yr Just caught up and the presenters and the cast (bar the 2 Tory guys), are great. HYPE! @1711130479980675515 Ddd I was living for it! She was fuming
October 9, 20231 yr Launch night got 2.5 million - is that good? Idk. I would say those ratings are great. Highest launch figures since 2012.
October 9, 20231 yr Not Paul being outed as a transphobic on Twitter ugh Have they kicked him out yet?
October 9, 20231 yr Have they kicked him out yet? I mean it's someone's word against his, I don't know how it'd stand up and with the PM being openly transphobic idk if they would bother sadly. I never know with TV ratings also if it's good or not haha, so happy it's done so well! Thoroughly deserved - can't wait for more tonight!
October 9, 20231 yr Author It’s received 1.19 million more viewers than the premiere of the latest season of Love Island.
October 9, 20231 yr So thankful that they actually came through on their promises and we got a proper Big Brother cast who are from all walks of life. This is what the show is about at its heart and so already a major step up from the first C5 series! The house looks great (if a little too big oop) and the launch night twist was right level of adding some drama without being too forced. I think it’s pretty easy for Olivia to get that immunity though and I wonder if that was planned before or after she was chosen given her reaction to being put up! The actual production side of the launch night though was a mess. I’ve never been so thankful for ad breaks because I could barely breathe at the pace they were chucking them in there! I’d blinked and two more had gone in. If they were going to rush it like that, I feel they’d have been better off just ditching the live audience/studio and just show them walk straight into the house. I do feel it lost the launch night charm. It wouldn’t be Big Brother if there wasn’t something to moan about  Immediate faves were Yinrun, Trish and Farida. I already know Paul will make the Top 2, if not win, and probably be part of some form of romance. We’ve all been here before…
October 9, 20231 yr Just starting watching yesterdays launch (so I can fast forward the ads etc :D) Not sure this needs 2 presenters... AJ isn't great. Will is though - I guess she is a bigger name, but he just seems way more natural at presenting.
October 9, 20231 yr I think AJ is waaaaayyy better than Will! He comes across as cringey/try hard where as she's more natural! But thats just me.
October 9, 20231 yr AJ 100% fits the role the better but neither are the best Agree that they only need one presenter that was my only negative from yesterday
October 9, 20231 yr Jenkin had a bit of a mare throughout that launch - funny though! Overall a good group of HMs (mostly) - nice diversity and a range of different personalities. Kinda feels like Olivia has first out written all over her; but i'm sure things will change during the course of the week. Think Noky is my early fave... that and the fast-forward button :D Edited October 9, 20231 yr by ElectroBoy
October 9, 20231 yr AJ is a queen periodt. Will is quite charming and easy on the eye Olivia already kicking off the moment she entered the house when the prosecco was finished
October 9, 20231 yr Farida was a TA in my partner's school last year! :o she's been EVERYWHERE. Loads of other TV shows too. Yinrun my favourite after night 1! But loving the cast loads.
October 9, 20231 yr I enjoyed both hosts! I've seen AJ hosting before and I love her, this is my first experience of Will but they worked well together I thought. Launch show was really good, the cast is spot on and feels beautifully diverse - just the way BB should be. It was definitely rushed, though I'd rather shorter introductions and a bit of house action at the end instead of the full 90 minutes dedicated to them walking in. We'll get to know them best inside the house after all!
