January 6, 200718 yr phycos awfull, very overated. although the shower scene is a classic. "Psycho" is a classic mate, very far from 'over-rated', Hitchcock was one of the true originals of modern cinema, if you didn't have him, then you wouldn't have Horror/Suspense/Thrillers as we know them.... Bloke was a fukkin' genius, one of the few true visionaries of Hollywood Cinema...
January 6, 200718 yr The parents must've known what they were watching, they probably didn't care. No, they didn't really... I think the father of John Thomson was the one who was the real fukkin' "Wayne Slob"-type, unemployable, layabout Scouse git who didn't give a sh!t about his kid and just let him grow feral... I'd seriously castrate people like that so they couldn't fukkin' breed, then we wouldn't even get the likes of Thomson or Venables....

January 8, 200718 yr I liked Psycho, I think the fact that the star was killed of before the film really got going was very scary, another one by Hitchcock I liked was The Birds, that was really creepy, especially with all the little kids being chased by them, infact any film invovling small children in horrible scene's I find very disturbing, the two children in Halloween, where their babysitters were being stalked and killed just seconds away from them, not very nice
January 13, 200718 yr Author I liked Psycho, I think the fact that the star was killed of before the film really got going was very scary, another one by Hitchcock I liked was The Birds, that was really creepy, especially with all the little kids being chased by them, infact any film invovling small children in horrible scene's I find very disturbing, the two children in Halloween, where their babysitters were being stalked and killed just seconds away from them, not very nice The actress in The Birds had to have therapy in real life after that film. I've never seen it, but it sounds good.
January 14, 200718 yr The actress in The Birds had to have therapy in real life after that film. I've never seen it, but it sounds good. The bird attacks are really terrifying, even watching it almost 50 years on.... None of yer CGI c**p, in quite a lot of scenes they used real birds.... And the fact that no rational explanation is actually given for it (it's one of these films where you have to figure it out for yourself) just makes it even more scary.... The scene at the school playground is one of the greatest sequences in any Horror film ever.... The slow build-up, the sustained and protracted tension, the panic, and then finally the all-out assault is just magnificently realised and every modern Horror film you can imagine has aped this sequence in one way or another in terms of the structure.... Hitchcock was a fukkin' master, and the likes of Craven, Romero, Carpenter, etc, etc ALL acknowlege his genius...
