TAKE THAT ARE HIGHLIGHT OF 2006

TAKE That getting back together was the biggest musical highlight of 2006, according to a poll.

This year, the Nineties boy band have had a No.1 album, a top-selling single, a sellout UK tour and the most successful comeback in pop history.

Gary, Howard, Jason and Mark had been out of the limelight for 10 years but returned stronger than ever, rivalling former bandmate Robbie Williams, who failed to appear anywhere in the poll.

The sporting highlight of 2006 was comedian David Walliams' intrepid swim across the Channel, according to the survey of over 3000 people by Cadbury Highlights Cake Bars.

The England football team's WAGs were the second-best celebrity highlight. First place went to Kylie, who received the all-clear in her battle against breast cancer.

The biggest chart highlight was the addictive Crazy by Gnarls Barkley.

It was, I love their single Patience... that and Leona winning X Factor was for me!

Hmmm well their album is good, and I do love Patience, but I wouldn't say it was the highlight.

Actually nothing much that has been released this year has really "hooked" me. -_-

it wasnt a highlight as such for me but i think the new stuff is great and im delighted with the huge success they are having
They've had a brilliant comback success wise but their album is so bland imo. Way to many ballads for my liking. -_-
th eballads are plentyfull but some are great, shine is absolutlt brilliant and deserves to get to number 1 when released as a single

Shine is one of the best songs on the album but I don't think it's brilliant. It's sounds like a bad Beatles/Scissor Sisters rip off, but I do think it was the right choice as a single. ^_^

Not surprised, it was a great comeback success story.

Well done to them.

i wonder will they leave much of a gap before another new album, also i herad a while back they were planning on releasing a live album, has anyone heard anything on this

Dunno, I would presume they are going to try and become big in and tour Europe.

they want to do america also

I don't think there is much of a point. I mean if they could'nt break it with their brilliant older material like Back for good and Never Forget then I don't know how they will this time around. Although who knows, if they are willing to stick to it and work hard then anything is possible.

didnt back for good do well in america though,i love never forget but never really liked back for good

Yeah, I think Back For Good went top 10

But the album did'nt perform well as far as i know so they did'nt stick at it.

I agree, Never Forget is by far their best song and much better than Back For Good ^_^
