January 1, 200718 yr Oh no, not at all. If you said that to an Irish person they would probebly hit you :P  Britain is England, Scotland, Wales and only Northern Ireland. Not the rest of Ireland ^_^ Oh!

January 1, 200718 yr Spice Girls in the poll ???????? wtf ????? Exactly what instruments do they play ? its just manufactured karaoke pop A band has people playing instruments Exactly, they were just products at the end of the day and did'nt break any boundaries, take risks or change the face of music like some of the others did. Success does not always equal greatness, I mean just take a look at Westlife. But it was based on the votes of the public at the end of the day to see who they thought was the best.
January 1, 200718 yr Some good names in there, but it has to be The Beatles - no contest. Queen come second for me.
January 1, 200718 yr The Beatles were not groundbreaking though, they never invented any genres they were the original "Boy Band", a slick marketing exercise
January 1, 200718 yr The Beatles were not groundbreaking though, they never invented any genres they were the original "Boy Band", a slick marketing exercise They changed the face of pop music and inspired alot more people than the others on that list IMO. Lennon and McCartney were two of the most gifted songwriteres of all time and have written far more timeless classics than the others if you ask me. ^_^

January 2, 200718 yr Spice Girls shouldn't be in there because they are NOT a BAND. They are a GROUP. They never played any instuments and although I don't know I highly doubt they wrote many of their lyrics either :|
January 2, 200718 yr i voted Spice Girls, although Queen i think are the best band of all time. Then why didnt you vote for them? :P
