I actually think it would be a really good move for Rob to either sing with TT or present them an award, although I would perfer singing myself. -_-

But none of it will happen :smoke:

I'm not sure.

I think it would be great publicity if TT reunited on the night as a 'one-off' performance. But I don't really want to see TT waltz off with Brit awards while Rob sits there with sod all. The press would then say he had returned to rejoin them as their career is on the up while his is on the way down. Total garbage but you know how they twist things.

Quite agree with you Jupiter, why should Robbie turn up when he so deserves an award too, but won't get one.

I can understand the Brits Academy wanting Robbie to do it, because its a rating winner and a huge scoop to boot. I don't want Robbie turning up just because of ratings. I also don't want to see him relegated to second fiddle behind Gary Barlow either.

He walked away from Take That because of a nudge and an implication, and they let him, so I hope he doesn't do it.

I am a Robbie fan of the solo kind, although I do like Take That, but not together.

I agree. -_-

And as you said, who would sing the lead? Gary with Robbie dancing about in the background? Shared vocals? Robbie? Turns about? Jason? :P

We know as well that these awards are fixed anyway, so it goes without saying that this is given. Maybe if the Brits Academy put a little "incentive" in for Robbie to turn up, then good on him..but if not I hope he gives it the thumbs down.

Take That/Oasis and Robbie... :o

Oh yes. With a little 'incentive' added I'd be all for it.

And while we're on the subject of The Brits. This 'lifetime achievement' award thing. Isn't it about time?

He should get best male at least for heavens sake <_<

I would'nt mind a performance of Could it be magic or Everything Changed. TT will probebly sing a newer song as well so Gary would get in the spotlight as well. It could work and I think it could sorta work in Rob's favour in a way. I think some of the public didnt like the fact that Rob refused to turn up for that program in 2005 and that he thinks he is too good for them. It would only be a one off afterall. ^_^

No

Most 'lifetime achievement' awards go to hasbeens and old people. Oasis are by far the youngest ever to get it/ -_-

Rob will get it eventually of course, he is the best selling British solo artist ever afterall :P

Who is likely to be in the running for best UK male?

They need to have released an album within the strict qualifying period (which seems to shift like Sahara sand dunes in a sandstorm) don't they? Was Rudebox released in this time period?

Who won it last year?

James Morrison will get it. Well, he seems to be the only other big male there is atm -_-

James Blunt won it last year. -_-

I'd imagine Rudebox was released in time but he won't win -_-

I don't really know James Morrison.

What about Paulo Nuttini?

I don't really know James Morrison.

What about Paulo Nuttini?

Who

James Morrison is nothing special by any means. He makes 'nice' music but nothing original. Just your average singer/songwriter. 'You Give me something is a good song though. ^_^

How can you not know who Paulo Nutini is?

Scottish guy. I have his album. It's actually quite good. ^_^

So who else is there this year?

Rod Stewart?

George Michael?

Elton John?

Tom Jones?

Simon Webbe?

Lemar?

Will Young?

I doubt any of the oldies will get it. Perhaps they see Rob as an oldie like George and Elt  :(

Will Young has'nt released any album this year so I don't think he will be in it.. Simon Webb and Lemar will although neither have done very well this year. Robbie should clearly win it  Bloody Brits. They can't get away with it this year -_-

I think the Brits, the music industry have put Robbie in a very difficult and could be humiliating position.

I don't know how Robbie feels, but I know how I feel and this is soooooo wrong. A very cynical and unfair move on their part. It is almost like they have wiped out 10 years of spectacular success and asking him to turn up to hand out an award in a year when, yet again, he does not win one!

He should WIN 'Best Live Act, but knowing the Brits they will overlook him like they have done since 2002. Except for the year before last.

At no time has TT been asked to present an award to Robbie - so why should Robbie do it for TT now. It should be them handing an award to Robbie.

Robbie is the only member of TT to make a very successful solo career for himself. Why can't the press, the Brits or the music industry give him credit for that. They stopped giving him awards as soon as he hit the mega big time.

It just makes me so angry when I think how much the UK, The Brits, the press could have and should have shown more support to him. He must be the most ridiculed unfairly treated artist in the UK which is so very underserving.

He should only attend if:

He has been nominated and won an award, then hand out an award to TT, if he so wishes.

He should not attend if:

He has been nominated and has not won an award. He does not deserve that. Not after all the hard work or the revenue he has brought to the music industry this year and not just be there to boost the rating with TT.

I also know this, the ratings always fare better when Robbie is at the Brits and this is why they are trying this cheap shot again.

All this c**p makes me :puke2:

Totally agree with your last post Jackie. He owes them f**k all. And I say again, what award have TT apparently 'won' when the nominations ain't even out yet? :arrr:
because it is pre-determinded they know who has been nominated and they know who has won!
