Leona is pretty boring and bland in my opinion :(

 

Whitney and Mariah are legends.

 

Leona, will be forgetton soon, along with every other reality Tv Star, Michelle Mcmanus, Steve Brookstien.

 

They are some people who do stick it out from Reality Tv programs, e.g, Will Young.

 

But he had something different which, wasnt on the market as such.

 

Leona is just another Big Ballad lady, who Britain will soon forget -_-

The only person to do the song justice is the one who wrote it - Dolly Parton. Her rendition is understated and emotive - because it was from the heart.

firstly, it was quite obvious that mariahs version was better. but i couldnt just post the ones where shes better than the originial, so i made it fair. kelly clarksons version of without you is terrible she just shouts and towards the end shes outa tune.

To be honest, even if Mariah snored Without You, it would still be better than Leona's version. I love Leona but it's simply no-contest.

leona hasnt even had a chance to prove herself yet, of course she isnt better than Celine, Whitney & Mariah, it'd be pretty stupid to think she is.

 

I mean shes only released one cover song and people are proclaiming her to be betetr than Whitney, a music ledgend? :blink: sure Leona has an amazing voice, im not denying that, but she hasnt even started her career yet, singing cover songs on a talent show doesn't prove anything, when she puts her heart and soul into her own songs, then we'll see.

Thanks wingnut... excellent. Very reminiscent of Lucie Silvas' sound - her vocals are sublime. What a bloody shame she's signed with Cowell - he wouldn't know a good song if it smacked him in the face. What a shame he made her into a Whitney clone on the show - I hate shouty singers. Is this the material she wrote (co-wrote??) over in the US a a while ago? If it is then Cowell should let her do her own thing instead of getting others to write songs for her.

thats ok :) , yay i love lucie too lol. yh i know its sad cowell has turnt her into a clone. but shes proven herself with these songs, shes not a waste, she can write decent songs and hold a tune haha :lol: . i love her :wub: . and yh i think she wrote them when she was in the us. hopefully cowell lets her do her own thing and doesnt give her an album full of songs he wants her to record.!!!

Well you can't just change the topic of the thread when you want y'know. :lol: If you're going to post Mariah videos and compare them, then you have to actually ALLOW people to compare them. ;)

 

Mariah may not be as good as she once was, but she is still the best vocal talent and live vocal singer on this planet today in my honest opinion.

Although Whitney is a far better singer than Leona, Leonas cover is good, and although that wasn't one of Whitneys great performances, she has had many great shows viewed by thousands. I am sure that Leona wil have a few bad performances. :lol:

i couldnt agree with you more lol, i think we missunderstood eachother. i am a big fan of mariah, and own all her material aswell. i wasnt saying dont compare them i was just trying to explain i wanted everyone to compare the other peformances and judge her material. and i hope she doesnt become another michelle, but its down to cowell, he should let her release some of her own material which is fantastic.
