Thought I may as well start a thread for this after it has received some positive feedback in the latest BJSC contest.

The album has become a real favourite of mine this year with the combination of intense lyrics and AI vocal readings sitting over hypnotic production from Vegyn. There's just something about the combination that I find truly beautiful to listen to and it isn't really quite like anything else out there. It gets very dark in places and I'm not sure how much truth there is behind the lyrics and stories they tell but it's fascinating to hear what seems to be the perspective of someone who has mental illness as a result of a strange upbringing with potentially violence or injury forming a part of the story. Despite this description, some of the lyrics are just relatable with some of my favourites being...

I shouldn't be responsible for what I say... someone else should be responsible for what I say

My history starts right now and I'm sorry for being late again... I just didn't realise that I had to be on time every single time

I wish you all the best in your life and I'm sorry for always trying to see the funny side, it just made everything in my life easier

But the thing they don't tell you is that it's your body that leaves your soul, not the other way around

I have no obligation to say I love you if you say you love me. It's not my fault you love me

But somebody in a high, bright place, somebody wondering whether or not to jump decides at last that the only thing left to do is dance

One morning you wake and you want to shave your head because the insects living up there have started to throw parties they aren't inviting you to

etc

It is lines like those that I just think have a true sense of beauty about them, they just feel almost too honest not to be utterly compelled by.

If you're intrigued, you can listen below...

ps it's now being released later this year and the vinyl package contains the original 8 track album plus a second record of the instrumental versions. I can imagine really loving both.

Adored this album when I listened to it last week, thanks for the discovery.

Definitely will be looking to get hold of that vinyl as I'd really like the instrumentals.

Great album. The Party That Never Ends hit me like a ton of bricks, so moving. Production is on point. The AI voice somehow makes it all feel authentic, as if it's directly speaking to you.

Did the vinyl ever come out? I’ve not been able to find it in stock anywhere.

Yes definitely did, I've got my copy. I saw it in stock at a few places, let me double check for you!

...although it isn't good news - everywhere has sold out :o I saw it in stock just a couple of weeks back but I guess it must not have had many copies made :(

Horizons have it "in stock" but I would never trust them as they are renowned for pretending to have things just to get people's money in

Aww I can’t believe how limited it must have been. I’ve looked all over the place and had no luck at all!

Thanks for searching.

Thanks, have ordered it and will hope for the best, or if not, a refund! I have ordered from them before and not had an issue.

Another good track.

Banquet are out of the vinyl so I'm waiting until they get more stock! They must have produced so few of them.
