September 24, 20231 yr Bit unusual how his 2003 album flopped at 59 when he had just been on Big Brother and got a top 5 hit off the back of it. The album came out on the back of the next single, which flopped.
September 24, 20231 yr I was really disappointed with how low the album charted, in hindsight it should have been released much earlier as Big Brother went great for Mark, apart from winning the public just saw the nice down to earth side of him. Its easy to forget he actually won the show in a time when it had great ratings as uts overshadowed by the hugely successful Take That comeback.
October 7, 20231 yr 'Green Man' and 'In Your OWn Time' are legit two of my favourite albums EVER. 'How The Mighty Fall' was also pretty good, but 'The Art Of Doing Nothing' quite literally lived up to its name and did nothing for me. 'Land Of Dreams' was something of a return to form, but he'll never be as good as the holy trinity of his first three albums again. Not a single track I'd skip on any of those. Some great B-sides too, 'Jaywalker', 'Good For Me' and 'Home' probably being the highlights there. Interested to hear what people's favourite solo song of his is? For me it's probably 'Close To The Edge'.

October 8, 20231 yr Child remains my fave song from Mark, loved it on release and still do and his debut album is great and deserved far more success. Land of dreams is also a great album and is his 2nd best fir me.
