There are several contributing factors, one of them being that I have recently received a cease-and-desist order by the man´s lawyers that claims damages due to breach of trademark and personal rights; on top of that there will be law fees involved which I am probably not able to cover. Although they allowed me to keep the domains and the site running (safe some parts of it), it doesn´t make much sense to run this fansite as it is any longer – apart from the financial commitment to keep it going, most of the information that you as fans have an – entitled - interest in are meanwhile subject to restrictive copyright acts. First, it was the lyrics. What will follow are copyright photos, use of wallpapers, text, etc. Honestly, I am not willing to face the risk of another legal action taken against me. I´ve always wanted to make a decent fansite, free of gossip and full of facts, information and a bit of entertainment. Your feedback and the visits proved me right, so it was always a pleasure and my motivation to report about the many facettes of a great artist. The more so I regret to shut down one of the biggest and most successful RW fansites. I thank you all for your support and being such loyal visitors to a site that has - at least - made it for four years in the mad world of internet public policy vs. corporate encroachment. January 4, 200718 yr WEll, I can understand about selling the t-shirts getting them in trouble...but really, what harm is it to have lyrics on the site?? I never understood that at all. They weren't profiting from it...I don't get it.
