Jo desperate to pay off company's debts

Jo O'Meara agreed to appear on Celebrity Big Brother because she is desperate for cash, according to a report.

 

The former S Club 7 singer has failed to achieve solo success since the band split, while her company Milecraft Ventures owes £34,000.

 

A friend told The Sun: "Jo hasn't had much luck since leaving S Club 7. Her company's not doing too well so she could really do with the £50,000 fee that Big Brother is paying her."

Jo has been explaining the breaking up of S Club 7 to some of the other servants, revealing that the experience was no longer fun towards the end.

 

Carole was talking to Ian about "living out of suitcases" when he was touring, prompting him to liken the situation to what he and Jo used to face when they were in their respective pop outfits.

 

Looking back on the long periods of time S Club were forced to spend in America, she summed up: "We did work hard...We'd done it all and it weren't fun anymore." She said that new artists and bands often don't realise what lies ahead and she feels sorry for those propelled to fame through shows such as The X Factor.

 

"It becomes a job, it becomes your life," added Ian.

Jo wasn't pleased with Reach

 

Jo O’Meara threw the first Celebrity Big Brother wobbler last night when one of S Club 7’s songs was played to the housemates. Jo wasn’t impressed at all as the others got up and danced and encouraged her to sing along to ‘Reach For The Stars’. She stomped off into another room and shouted at Ian ‘H’ Watkins. When the music had stopped she continued her huff saying to Big Brother: "I don't know what you've done that for." Someone’s obviously embarrassed by their past!

I didn't see it, but I think it's quite sad to know this ... :unsure:

I think the article has been made up. I have searched for her company online and whilst they do appear to exist and it gives you their address and their financial readings which appear pretty safe, it mentions nothing at all to do with Jo O'Meara so I think that someone has in order to spread gossip just put two and two together and come up with lies.

Surely to God she's getting more than £50,000 :o Shilpa's getting over £300,000, and while she's big in India I assume they'd pay someone well known here to appear on a show here more?

That's a shame...I heard that she has always sung reach always when she was solo...She will not have any sort of resurgence of a singing career if she treats her old classics like that

I'm surprised at Jo's behaviour to be honest...bullying (apparently), chain smoking and constant swearing, I suppose her real personality was supressed a lot in S Club 7 :-0
