Let's start with Girls Aloud results in my all-time top 100 girl group songs list.

I wish to update it in the next year, maybe even expand to top 150, but in 2020 year Girls Aloud had six songs in that countdown.

P.S : Only singles or songs with the official videos were included, so that's why "She" and "Some Kind Of Miracle" weren't in top 100.

73. Girls Aloud - The Show (2004) - 8.0

Country : United Kingdom

Chart results : # 2 in UK, # 9 in Ireland

Finally I found a place for something mainstream in this countdown. Girls Aloud is my second favourite girl band, only YVA have more songs in top 100.

"The Show" was the lead single from second Girls Aloud album "What Will The Neighbours Say?". This song continuing the band's string of hits by becoming the fifth consecutive top 3 single in UK. In my chart "The Show" was their second number one hit after "No Good Advice"in 2003 year.

"The Show" clip is my second favourite Girls Aloud music video, only behind "Can’t Speak French".

The story takes place in a salon called "Curls Allowed." Each member of the band plays a character working in the salon, pampering and making-up a variety of men. Nicola Roberts is "Chelsea Tanner," who sprays insulting messages with fake bronzer onto her male customers; Nadine Coyle is "Frenchie", who ineptly tries to give her male customers facials; Sarah Harding is "Supa Styler", a hair stylist who fails to satisfy any of her customers; Cheryl Cole is "Maxi Wax", who makes the waxing process as painful as possible; and Kimberley Walsh is "The Boss", who looks on amusedly as her employees take their revenge on the salon's male customers.

71. Girls Aloud - The Promise (2008) - 8.0

Country : United Kingdom

Chart results : # 1 in UK, # 2 in Ireland

"The Promise" is the first and last number UK # 1 in this countdown. Upon its release in October 2008, the single became Girls Aloud's fourth number one in UK singles chart, continuing their six-year streak of top ten hits.

37. Girls Aloud - No Good Advice (2003) - 9.0

Country : United Kingdom

Chart results : # 2 in UK, # 2 in Ireland, # 23 in Netherlands

"No Good Advice" was maiden # 1 hit for Girls Aloud in my chart and spent five weeks on the top.

Also it's my third favourite single from 2003 year, only two Sinead Quinn's hits were higher.

21. Girls Aloud - Theme To St.Trinians (2008) - 9.0

Country : United Kingdom

Chart results : # 51 in UK

"Theme To St. Trinians" was recorded by Girls Aloud to coincide with their cameo appearance in the film as the St Trinian's School Band. A music video of their performance from the film was used to promote the track, which was available for digital download alongside the rest of the soundtrack album, but was removed by Fascination Records to avoid confusion with the actual single "Call The Shots".

"Theme To St.Trinians" is the third highest Girls Aloud single in this countdown.

7. Girls Aloud - See The Day (2005) - 9.5

Country : United Kingdom

Chart results : # 9 in UK, # 14 in Ireland

Very underrated "See The Day" spent five weeks on the top of my chart. This single was a contender for Christmas # 1 in UK (or at least # 2 behind X-Factor release), but unpredictably finished only on 9th place.

See the day higher than so many of their far better singles.

Possibly I'm the biggest worldwide fan of Girls Aloud - "See The Day".

Two another their singles ("Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me" and "Whole Lotta History") have a good chance to be in top 150 list.

'See The Day' was a bit of a WTF moment from them looking back on it, especially with how the release was handled. I don't mind it though, but it's not one I really even listen to out of choice.

2. Girls Aloud - Can't Speak French (2008) - 10.0

Country : United Kingdom

Chart results : # 9 in UK, # 12 in Ireland

Top 2 was very predictable from start. Yes, it's the best singles from two best girls groups in a history of pop music.

Both my favourite Girls Aloud songs weren't big hits and reached only # 9 in their home country.

I will not deny a solid influence of gorgeous "Can't Speak French" music video on the final results in this countdown. All ladies looks very impressive in 18th century French dresses. They crash a sophisticated dinner party and seduce the male guests. They dance provocatively and flirt with the men. Throughout the video, individual shots of each girl in front of a coloured wall are interpolated.

Girls Aloud also recorded a French language version "Je Ne Parle Pas Francais" and their French is not bad at all.

Low-known and\or short lived UK girl groups were my weakness before I found the beautiful world of Lithuanian pop music.

"Sex Sells" was # 1 on radio in my home country. It's low-known (if you don't live in Russia) pop masterpiece.

All UK groups in top 100 :

6 songs : Girls Aloud

4 songs : Shampoo

3 songs : Pearls

2 songs : Loose Chippin's, Cats UK

1 song : Benefit, Boom, Girls @ Play, Girls Can't Catch, Lemonescent, Lovebites, Hot Pantz, P5, Paperdolls, Pipettes, Samanda, Skandi Girls, Supersister, Twins
