Exciting news... Billy Joel has announced his first new music since 2007's 'All My Life' and 'Christmas in Fallujah'! Before that, his last new music was 1993 album 'River of Dreams' so he really hasn't released much in the last 30 years.

 

'Turn the Lights Back On' is its name, and it releases on February 1st:

It'll be interesting to see how it performs! I'd love it to make the Top 100 here, and I definitely think it's possible despite the Thursday release.

It’ll be hard to without streaming support but we shall see.

Very unlikely now, it peaked at #2 on iTunes before falling - with no streaming impact.

it's a great track and his voice is still intact, the classical training as always coming out in the song. If he can do one good record again he can do a whole album....

 

There's a Billy Joel Catalogue act Ive seen 2 or 3 times, the singer-songwriter Elio Pace - he's not a tribute act as he doesnt try to copy Billy, he just loves his music so much he shares the love and enthusiasm which is quite contagious in a live setting. My friends are so keen they have tickets to see Billy Joel in New York soon. That'll be quite a mammoth concert!
