I must admit Arsenal's first goal was a blinder

Liverpool dominated the second half, and I really thought they would come back, but after Henri scored that was it. It was CURTAINS for Liverpool, good match though

It's annoying, and I wish he'd stop it. But to say he's the worst is just REDICULOUS when you have Robben and Drogba in the same league.

Thats the past though, there havn't been any recent events (this season) when ever of the players have dived. There was the minor thing against Arsenal where Lehman and Drogba both "fell over" but that was just a girls fight.

Drogba dived at least 4 times in that match, he had a pathetic attempt to win a penalty when he theatrically fell over Lehmann when knocked the ball too far in front of him Alonso style. Those two, along with Ronaldo are the biggest divers in the league.

But this thread isn't about divers, it's about Arsenal beating Liverpool. :cheer:

Robben and Ronaldo are the king of divers, period ^_^

Drogba has actually improved....slightly

If Drogbas a diver then i guess you can admit that Lehman is aswell, since he made minimal contact with Drogba and threw himself to the floor in that match.

As an Arsenal fan, i think the win was deserved. Liverpool only had around 4-5 shots on target in the game, same as Arsenal. I admit i was worried when it got to 2-1, but Liverpool rarely looked like they had enough to break Arsenal down in open play. With all that possession, Liverpool really should have tested Almunia more.

Liverpool could have done a lot better with their finishing, but Arsenal were playing in their own half basically for that spell when Liverpool were all over them and then only way Liverpool could really create anything was by crossing the ball into the box were there would be a load of Arsenal players.

Yeah i admit Liverpool played well, i guess Arsenal just did their job well. I'm hoping for more of the same in midweek, but if Gilberto and Toure are rested, Liverpool will get a lot more chances.

I dunno how Arsenal will line up in midweek. I'm guessing both teams will field weakened teams but I reckon Liverpool will field a stronger team than Arsenal at least.

I really hope Arsenal don't play a too weakened team, i know the league cup isn't the best cup for the so-called big clubs to win but it would be nice to win a trophy after last season.

Liverpool actually had 2 on trget, and we had 4.

I think Liverpool will kick some ass on Tuesday, for their loss yesterday, again its a home game for Liverpool and I'm expecting the fans want a home win, but I'm an Arsenal supporter, it be nice if they can do it twice over.

Well I think Arsenal will be playing the likes of Walcott etc in midweek mainly because they will want to rest all Henry and everything for The League, Champions League and FA Cup.

Liverpool will probably field reserves like Fowler etc and then drop the likes of Gerrard, Kuyt etc.

Apart from hoof balls into the box, did Liverpool create a single chance apart from the goal? NO.

Liverpool, in any other match, probably wouldn't have lost that if it weren't for quality finishing and $h!t goalkeeping. But Wenger's tactics were spot on.

Old Trafford 0-1

Stamford Bridge 1-1

Anfield 1-3

I find it so amusing you can do that but have failed to beat Newcastle, Sheffield, Portsmouth, Bolton, Everton, Villa, West Ham, Fulham etc.

You have to be the most inconsistant team in the whole of the country!

Doubt it. Liverpool should be going for the League Cup now as it's their best (possibly only) chance of winning anything this season!

Liverpool are playing awful at the moment. 4-1 to Arsenal at half time!

Hopefully Benitez will sub Dudek as he's having an absolute shocker.

Carling Cup Quarter Final

Liverpool 1-4 Arsenal

Liverpool start with just Steven Gerrard from the outfield 10 players who lost to Arsenal and are paying the price.

Dudek = shocking, responsible for Arsenal's 2nd & 3rd goals. But Rafa Benetiz must take responsibility for selecting such a weakened 11 to start this match.
