Apparently a friend of mine , (Clare a.k.a Daylight Dancer) isn't getting validated.

 

So , i was just wondering why is that ?

When I registered I was sent an email, Claire didn't get it ?

 

It was sent to my spam folder in Hotmail, maybe Claire has it there ? :unsure:

That's the issue when you know 3 people with the same name and one has a different spelling to it...

 

I don't really think that anyone should fail to get validated until they prove themselves as worthless on the forums.

its probably her pc... she could always try again tomorrow from mine..

I never had validation

 

I just got an email, put a link into my browser and it was done automatically, there was no admin validation

It's finally done it, went to my junk inbox cos that's where it goes anyway but it wouldn't let me do anything <_<

You need to click on the quote button without the '+' mark when you want to single quote someone or else click on the other quote button when you want to multiquote a couple of people and then click on the add reply button.

Yeah the exact same thing happened with me when I registered a few days ago, check your junk Inbox, and all of your Hotmail Inbox folders, and it should be there, if not then it will say Re-send validation at the top, click that and another will be sent, if the problem persists I will sort it with Phil for you :P

I had a hard time getting the validation code to appear, but after a dozen F5, I got to see something

I will look into the mail server response now and see its response time.

 

I've made it so users have to validate an email so that in the future potential banned users cant spam the site with multiple accounts :)

This is an awesome improvement. That feature not being there at the old site probably had a lot to do with my ever growing lack of interest...
