Hey Jim!

I spy my bjsc entry from march here. It was quite good wasn't it 😝

Illusion is great. I really like the video though I am slightly worried about the albums prospects at the moment.

^_^

Hey James

Yes a brilliant entry with its atmosphere and that drop - it deserved better than where it finished!

'Illusion' is another fine single to build up to the album - now that I've listened to it in full, it seems the single choices were spot on, although I didn't expect it to reach quite the levels of Future Nostalgia commercially, however I think a few other tracks have potential to take off.

Hope you have a great weekend ^_^

Hey Sergej!

Nice picks - 'Changes' is so catchy even if it's essentially 'We Are The People' part 2, I liked 'No Roots' from Alice Merton a few years ago but like 'run away girl' even more, it's great to have London Grammar back, and I'm happy to give more chart life to Peggy and Glass Animals beyond their big commercial hits.

Thanks, have a great weekend ^_^

Hi Jim

Quite liking Starburster and Satellite at the moment. ^_^

Hi Cow

Great to see Fontaines D.C. in the singles chart, 'Starburster' is one of their more accessible songs and I'm enjoying it a lot. Glad you like 'Satellite' too, perhaps my favourite from Dimension aside from the Sub Focus collabs.

Hope you're having a great weekend ^_^

Flames, Satellite, Break / Saw U, 9mm, Dark Vacay, Life Goes On

Flames, Satellite, Break / Saw U, 9mm, Dark Vacay, Life Goes On

Some great ETOTW / DTOTW / BJSC discoveries there, plus 'Dark Vacay' which is quite lovely.

Hope you've had a great weekend ^_^

my faves this month:

01 NE GusGus, Högni, Earth - Breaking Down - cool discovery here

03 NE Castle Rat - Cry For Me  - too underrated in the BJSC!

10 NE Grum - Voyager2 - this is rather good although much preferred the material from his last album

15 NE Prospa - If You Want My Loving

16 NE Dimension, Alison Wonderland - Satellite

17 NE Dua Lipa - Illusion - shame her album isn't all that great outside of the single choices

18 NE SWIM - Break [/ Saw U]

24 NE London Grammar - House - quite nice but not surprised it's been such a muted comeback for them

25 NE Peggy Gou - 1+1=11 - love this!

Oh I'm pleased you made a good discovery from GusGus - I can't remember whose chart I found it in myself! Quite a tune anyway from Iceland - if only they'd sent something that good to Eurovision.

Castle Rat were robbed in BJSC, what can I say. I think your entry from Grum was in the contest before I started, but I ended up liking that a fair amount, and found the new one quite a grower too.

Kind of agree on Dua, considering all the post-album hits in the previous era plus other deep cuts like 'Cool', while the only new track that's grabbed me so far is 'Falling Forever', though it's early days I suppose. Same with London Grammar when comparing to 'Baby It's You' which got a Top 100 placing last time out, but 'House' is certainly enough to keep me interested. I know Peggy is unlikely to have another huge commercial hit, but I'm glad to have discovered her through it!

Hope you're having a great week ^_^

Hey Jim 👋

Hope you're keeping well sir! My faves this month:

05 NE Otik - Downcast

10 NE Grum - Voyager2

12 NE Aexhy - OvO

13 NE Geo22, Elphi - Flames this has broken my repeat button, their best since 'Magic' I think!

17 NE Dua Lipa - Illusion MOTHER

18 NE SWIM - Break [/ Saw U] I cannot listen to this without 'Saw U' right after. Was also super happy to see akiaura high on your previous chart!

20 NE Kiesza - Dancing And Crying

25 NE Peggy Gou - 1+1=11

26 NE Brutalismus 3000 - 9mm

38 NE English Teacher - You Blister My Paint

Quite a few I'm unfamiliar with! Anything you think would be up my street!?

Hey Kath, hope all's good with you!

Happy to see so many faves for you here! I think 'Flames' is Geo22's best since 'Magic' too - is it just me or does the chorus sound like 'All The Things She Said' :kink: Yeah, 'Break' and 'Saw U' sound like one song really, great to see that and 'Sleepwalker' with successive top 10 finishes in BJSC.

I guess you might like my #1 from GusGus - it's quite Eurodancey, and those at #2 and #4 are like classic synthpop. You may well know the Prospa and Dimension ones, but perhaps not the Alok one at #37 - that popped up on my Release Radar and it's delightfully chilled with a traditional chant - then the rest are mostly indie, but you might enjoy The Joy Formidable one at #21 if you have 15(!) minutes to spare, it's worth it!

Hope you've had a great weekend ^_^
