It worked well this season but I'd worry about it being a thing every year, it'll undoubtedly end up benefiting the one unlikeable comp beast at some point and then the tide will turn on the twist. A variety of competitions will help prevent that but it's not hard to imagine someone like Cameron BB25 just beasting it every time, not like Tucker was that far off doing so this year.

I’m surprised they didn’t try giving this another shot this year, I really liked the first season!

Last year Reindeer Games was a perfect way to fill time during the writers' strike, and turned out to be a fantastic spinoff, completely exceeded my expectations. I can see where it might be overkill to have it every year, so I don't mind waiting, but it does seem like they're genuinely interested in bringing it back next year, so fingers crossed.
