January 11, 200718 yr Well she was fat too and she just looked really wrong. -_- Still being brought up with those kind of parents in that type of environment, what can you expect? :( Apparently she likes to sing too so we may have another Houston in the charts.
January 11, 200718 yr  I hate people who are like fat and try to flaunt something they really haven't got :(... I'd love another Whitney, wouldn't it be great if she could sing as well as Whitney :o
January 11, 200718 yr Highly doubtful, I think on the outside Whitney had the full package, she was beautiful, powerful and she had the voice. Most people don't realise though that unlike other successful diva's like Mariah and Celine, Whitney never actually wrote 1 song, she never produced any of her own tracks, she never directed anything. Clive Davis manufactured Whitney.
January 11, 200718 yr Agreed! Did Celine write her own songs? I think she wrote one or two ... alot of people also don't know that I Will Always Love You is a cover. I think Whitney is really pretty too, have you seen her lately? She's looking fantastic! There again black people always look younger than they actually are! Lucky!

I'm not so sure about Celine, I just assumed she when there are discussions about diva's and the main 3 are mentioned, Whitney is always picked apart for not writing her own songs, but no one ever mentions Celine so I just assumed she did. Yeah it's a cover of a Dolly Parton song, i'm not overly fond of her version, even though I do love Dolly. I was brought up listening to both Dolly and Whitney, but I had never heard Dolly's version until a year or 2 ago, whereas all I heard growing up was Whitneys version. I don't mean this to sound racist, but maybe because they have dark skin the wrinkles are less noticeable?
January 11, 200718 yr It's not being racist! I think dark skinned people (especially women) are reallyyyy attractive! I'm not sure what it is, but they always look young :o. Dolly's version is totally different, I seen it on youtube, she's a cute, small funny looking woman in a good way!. Legend in Country isnt she?
January 11, 200718 yr Yeah she's HUGE in country, I have a couple of her albums actually, R&B was my Mam's thing and country was my Dad's thing. So I was brought up with both sides. ^_^
January 11, 200718 yr  So that's why you discovered Mariah late :o? She was Pop wasnt she? Well I always knew of Mariah, and I had heard Without You and Hero, but nothing else, not even Christmas. :o Then I remember her being on Graham Norton promoting Charmbracelet, and I was quite astounded by her, but never looked for anything by her. My brother is a big Westlife fan and I remembered him playing Against All Odds and I loved Mariahs part, and I put it on my MP3 player, and then it was getting towards Christmas so I downloaded AIWFCIY, then I asked for The Greatest Hits off my Mam for Christmas. I fell in love with that and then ILT came out, followed by Mimi and the rest is history. ^_^
January 11, 200718 yr  First time I ever saw Mariah was when she preformed a song on Ant & Dec Saturday Night Take Away (it wasn't It's Like That) and my mother said that she's a right diva and she has a massive entourage. Thought nothing of it though, seen It's Like That and loved it, bought the single, then I was in town with friends by chance and I thought I liked her first single, what's the harm? My mother seemed surprised I bought a Mariah CD (she loves Madonna) and said the only good song she has is Dreamlover -_-. Hated TEOM at first though, I didn't even like WBT! I only liked Mine Again and ILT, how the times have changed... All I knew really before that was she was hyped for her voice... We both became fans in near enough the same way :o... Ohh and is your brother still a Westlife fan ? I didn't think the Love Album was that bad :o
January 11, 200718 yr We both became fans in near enough the same way :o... Ohh and is your brother still a Westlife fan ? I didn't think the Love Album was that bad :o Yeah he's still a big Westlife fan, he was Brian McFadden's biggest fan on Earth and still is, but he still loves Westlife. In principle I hate Westlife, I just hate what they do. However the Love Album does have some good tracks on it, the duet with Delta is AMAZING.
January 11, 200718 yr The whole Kerry/Brian thing made me go off Brian a bit... I LOVE the Delta duet too, it's an amazing song, they should DEFINATLY release that as a single. There's quite a few good songs though, and I can't deny it... they can sing -_-
January 17, 200718 yr I know - it's ridiculous. And then we you point out to these people that she's written almost every song on every album for 16 years they say 'yeah but the credits are probably lies' Edited January 17, 200718 yr by Tim
January 17, 200718 yr ! I hate it when people call Mariah talentless etc! Her voice has changed though, maybe it's cause she had a nose job (well I reckon she had one :o) and most definatly with age! Not abuse. She still has a good voice though, and can outsing anyone in the charts at the moment! She'll go down in history for songs such as Hero, We Belong Together, Vision of Love and her cover of Without You
January 17, 200718 yr How the HELL has Mariah had a nose job Kalen? That's one that's not even a rumour, you've just plucked that one out of thin air!
January 17, 200718 yr This seems to be a bit of a varied topic. I will eventually catch up on all the strands in here, but suffice to say that was very nice of Mariah. Catch up with this when I am more awake and able to comment coherently...
January 17, 200718 yr i don't think that mariah had a nose job with she's def made her breasts... but i like the twins -love 'em
