January 14, 200718 yr Author 05. Ojos Asi 3b4U-cnIBvM This for a long time was my favourite ever Shakira song. When I got LS, it was Eyes Like Yours that stuck out to me. Then I saw a clip of her singing Ojos Asi on MTV and I was like "WHAT!? There's a Spanish version!?" And that's how I discovered DELL :D
January 14, 200718 yr Ojos Asi is her best uptempo song imo, better than WW/Suerte/HDL/LT, the lot :D its got such a powerful force behind it, and she sings it like she's posessed   It also used to be my favourite Shakira song when I first got DELL
January 14, 200718 yr illegal is a good song but there are better songs that deserve top10 in retrospect illegal had little chance sony left it so late for the follow up mistakes were made with promo Pies Descalzos this is one of the songs i can't wait to hear live, Don't bother love the lyrics especially the verses its interesting hear shakira as a jealous and insecure singing about this "perfect woman" and the guy that cheated on her but she overcomes she survives this break up and moves on! don't bother you bast*rd that decieved her!! she's fine!! UYC beautiful love song very strong lyrically, some great lines in there and authentic too cause its about antonio, its so great to have an artist write their own songs so you know exactly how they feel, what they feel and this, he is one lucky guy!!!
January 14, 200718 yr Ojos Asi is a full on fusion track at its best!! totally unique song i can't think of another pop song sounding like it, mixing so many elements, she is a master at doing this and she gives a nod to her father's music by using arabian sounds, its exotic, earthy and seductive another song that comes alive live! seeing shakira dance feeling her own music, you can sense the history with this song when shakira was a little girl bellydancing at lebanese restuarants i hope she explores more middle eastern music soon
January 14, 200718 yr Author I was always underwhelmed by the live Ojos Asi performances that I saw on DVD and on the internet, especially the TOTM one. That's why I wasn't expecting anything on the FO tour but I was completely surprised because it was superb, another highlight of the tour - especially the dance of the pink sheet which is just mesmerizing.
January 14, 200718 yr i remember in TOTM the audience went nuts when she started to belly dance at the chorus part the atmosphere was so good when she performed that track
January 14, 200718 yr Author 04. Inevitable YhbX4tuWLpI Another awesome slice of pop/rock. She hasn't made a song like this for a long time, which is a shame because this song is great. One of Shakira's favourite songs too.
January 14, 200718 yr Author i remember in TOTM the audience went nuts when she started to belly dance at the chorus part the atmosphere was so good when she performed that track That's what I'm saying, it would've been incredible if you were there, but on DVD it does it no justice at all.
January 14, 200718 yr I love the MTV Unplugged performance of Ojos Asi, her voice sounds so strong on it. and Inevitable! my favourite Shakira song, everything about it is amazing. Its Shakira at her best
January 14, 200718 yr Author Ojos Asi MTV Unplugged was great, that performance suited that setting perfectly. But the performance didn't seem right for the big stadium although I was proved completely wrong :)
January 14, 200718 yr inevitable just has the something that supreme quality maybe cause it starts slow and gentle then breaks out into the anthemic chorus the production is perfect! great lyrics, plus shakira's voice is is full of yearning, i've always thought this song in terms of weather!? it starts as gentle rain falling then it gets heavy till there's thunder and lightning especially in the instrumental section in the middle its only later when i found out the english lyrics that the chorus also mentions rain.. "The sky is seeing a million raindrops fall The hours seem to crawl And every day that passes is just the same Just like yesterday. I can't find anyway to forget you because To keep on loving you Is inevitable" in fact water or liquid is mentioned a few times she sings "making coffee i'm a mess" "i never take a bath on sundays" "i cry in earnest once a month" plus the chorus "the sky is seeing a million raindrops fall" but the video reinforces the weather theme, its dark with a bright spotlight on shakira like moonlight and theres flashing light like thunder and it looks like raining falling down on her but its really tape and....bubbles!!?? January 14, 200718 yr Author 03. La Tortura ARp7DWCpTbM My absolute favourite ever Shakira song...for now anyway. It just never gets old. Everything about it is just pure genius; the lyrics, the music, the way it's sung - everything! The beat is so infectious and the chorus is just incredible. Alejandro makes this song because his vocals in the chorus are just superb.
January 14, 200718 yr ^^^my thoughts exactly! there is so much going on with this track it timeless such a well crafted track, you can tell lots of care and time dedicated to every part of the song and knowing that shakira tweaked the track after it was completed for a month till it reached perfection on reinforces that!
January 14, 200718 yr yeah, you can really tell where she payed attention to detail to make it prefect, but you can feel the same on every song on FO1 i feel, her most produced album
January 14, 200718 yr Author Yeah, you can so tell the attention she paid to FO1...but dare I say...perhaps it's a little over produced? I love the electro version of La Pared but I feel like it would've been ten times better if it had just been a little more raw.

January 14, 200718 yr yeah, mabye some songs would have worked if they hadnt been as well produced, but in the same way some songs may not have worked as well if not as much produced, like Obtener Un Si
January 14, 200718 yr im a bit disappointed that everytime theres something like this it's always the same top 2, WW HDL. however im really glad a lot of spanish stuff got into the top 10, like PDSB, Ojos Asi & Inevitable :D
