Fergie - Fergalicious (supposed to be released in uk at the end of 2006, instead we had a 6 month gap between London Bridge and follow-up Glamorous).
this always seemed like a huge missed opportunity, it was a huge hit in Australia and America

it did get silver certified in 2020 even

This. Never understood why we didn't get it as Single #2. Tacking it on as a double A-side with Clumsy was the wrong move for the UK release as it then just didn't land as well as it should've (missing the Top 40 altogether). Really big missed opportunity there

While it went top 10, at the time I was expecting a far higher position as back then I worked in nightclubs as a teenager and the djs had the song on import long before its release and I felt it would a massive hit rather than a minor uk hit.

It felt a much bigger hit here in Ireland where it went top 3 with a 13 week run in the top 30 which was great at the time.

It did manage 4 weeks in the top 10 though and not a bad chart run for a #8

Duffy - My Boy (2011). This was meant to be the second single from her second album Endlessly, it even had a pre-order with single cover and b-side.
I seem to remember Kelly Clarkson having one or two cancelled singles from her My December era. One Minute and Sober? Don't Waste Your Time? One or two of them. :P
