ooooo i get you... yes she has unique lyrics... nobody else has such thought out lyrics but that can be viewed as that she is a translator which means her lyrics will include less slang etc

i think it would do well as a single and much better than her last release

I Love The Spanish version - don't like the English version. Translating songs like this devalues it to me.

Just because Spanish is Shakira's first language, people always say the spanish versions of her songs are better - which isn't always true. It's like English is an inferior language or something. I doubt people would say it devalues the song if it was translated into French or Italian.
