The second semi-final sees a repeat of the Euro 1996 group stage match and that 1993 World Cup qualifying match between England and Netherlands at the Westfalenstadion, Dortmund. For England they needed penalties to beat Switzerland, England winning an penalty shootout it does happen. For Netherlands they came back from behind to beat an relentless Turkey.

That 1993 World Cup qualifying match, I'm referring to this:

How do we see this one going?

Last Four Meetings:

06/07/2019- Netherlands 3-1 England (Nations League Semi-Final)

23/03/2018- Netherlands 0-1 England (Friendly)

29/03/2016- England 1-2 Netherlands (Friendly)

29/02/2012- England 2-3 Netherlands (Friendly)

Back out to Germany for me in the morning for my 59th, and then hopefully 60th, England game.

I feel this is a game both teams will think they can win, as both teams have obvious weaknesses. I don't see there likely being much changes, it'll be cagey and tight.

Looking forward to this game, England showed improvement and Luke Shaw is now able to play a bit more. Hoping England get an early goal and pick Holland off after that
Both teams have their flaws and both teams will feel that they can win. I’m expecting another draw as looks like the same team we’ve been putting out with Bellingham and Foden operating the same space and Kane being unable to run.

For UK viewers, BBC are showing an repeat of the England v Netherlands Euro 96 game from 2pm.
We should be able to beat the team that lost to the team that got beaten by the team that got beaten by Netherlands.
Looks like this match is going to be marred by off the pitch matters. Video circulating of Dutch fans attacking a pub English fans were drinking at.

He really is averse to making changes isn't he. Gotta feel sorry for the lads he's took out there as spares.

Will we have to go down a goal before he makes any changes again?

time for pain until (pending) brilliance that derives largely from luck, we know this feeling

That's a powerful one from Xavi Simons. Probably England's clover is run out of leaf, now?

Always happy to hear Peter Drury in my broadcasting!
