"Walk This Way" - Sugababes Vs Girls Aloud

5th January 2007

According to reports from fans who attended the Girls Aloud section of the video shoot, the end part of the "Walk This Way" video, which will be one of two official Comic Relief 2007 songs, will feature two catwalks, one featuring Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola of Girls Aloud, and one featuring Sugababes, with a hanging microphone from the ceiling being passed between the two groups; it is not yet known why Nadine and Sarah were not present.

More Info - The Video

- Cheryl smacks a wall in the video, smashing a hole in it.

- The hanging mics are thrown between the girls.

- Nadine and Sarah will be added later using digital effects (if this is paid for on the GA budget, expect tackiness).

- The croud throw red noses up at the end which fall around the girls.

- There are several red neon lights.

- Nicola now has a fringe.

- Girls Aloud are in dresses.

More Info - The Song

- The two bands DO sing together.

- The verses are shared between the two groups.

- Nicola sings: "Singin' hey diddle diddle, with your kitty in the middle of the swing like you didn't care"

- Sarah heard during the verse --> Girls Aloud style rapping!!

- Nadine and Keisha do ad-libs.

That sounds good. Apart from the digital effects - sounds really dodgy and stupid.

Well it is Comic Relief :P

Sounds very good though.

Sounds brill.

But WHY werent two of the girls there? Surely they would have to be?!

they were on holidly apparently, and with digital effects or something like that, there are going to add them in
On holiday?! What a bad exuse. This could possibly be their biggest hit to dat and they could'nt even turn up to shoot the video!
Thats Nadine and Sarah for you!
Nadine and sarah didn't turn up ? they always seem to do as they wish... they need nadine's vocals so to keep her in the band they have to do what she wants really

article from the Daily Star

Pitting Girls Aloud against the Sugababes will result in the biggest-selling single of 2007.

Record shops expect the Comic Relief track - a cover of Aerosmith's "Walk This Way" - to shift more than 100,000 copies.

And it could possibly push on to hit the quarter of a million mark after its release in March.

That's big - and my man at HMV says it's unlikely anyone else will topple the figure this year.

I'm told: "Brit music fans can always be relied upon to respond generously to charity releases, particularly when it comes to Comic Relief.

"But pairing up Girls Aloud with the Sugababes is an inspired choice that guarantees the song will be a No 1 smash hit.

"There will be huge TV and radio support and a final figure of 250,000 isn't unrealistic."

And because I am highly skilled, I can reveal some details of the video, which hits screens next week.

It's a scorcher. The main action sees both girlbands competing against each other on catwalks.

Cheryl Cole, 23, Sarah Harding, 25, Nicola Roberts, 21, Kimberley Walsh, 25, and Nadine Coyle, 21, strut their stuff on one walkway, while Keisha Buchanan, 22, Heidi Range, 23, and Amelle Berrabah, 22, pout on the other. I'm told: "The final cut looks great. It's all moody looks from the girls and really provocative posing.

"In fact so tight was Sarah's skirt that she literally had to be stitched into it for the shoot.

"The Miu Miu heels she was wearing were so high her calves were killing her for days afterwards."

Yes, that's right. Tight dresses, high heels and attitude.

There will also be cameos from various stars, including Dawn French, 49, and model Lily Cole, 18.

I posted in this thread about 45 minutes ago, where did it go?
