Posted July 31, 2024Jul 31 With only Brighton Pride and a festival in Dubai left in the calendar, it's probably a good time to consider what's next for S Club. What do you think will be coming, and what are you hoping for in 2025 and beyond?
July 31, 2024Jul 31 Author I don't see the band calling it quits again - I think they would've done that prior to these summer shows if they wanted to - though I think any further tours should probably be accompanied by new music. I know there was meant to be some in the works but I've not heard any solid updates on whether it's coming or not! I'd like to see a new album next summer perhaps, with a couple of singles preceding it and a tour in the autumn. I think it'd need to be a theatre tour this time around, any arena tour would have to be considerably smaller than their recent one I think (bear in mind the Good Times Tour sold most of its tickets when the group was reuniting as a 7 piece). Would be quite a nice way to spread out their group activity to allow them time with their families and for any side projects in the middle, as they seem to have found a nice rhythm between S Club and their own endeavours this year.
August 1, 2024Aug 1 I honestly don't know, they seem a lot closer this time around which is really nice. I just feel the recent Rachel interviews don't give me too much hope. I would love them to continue performing.
August 1, 2024Aug 1 Hmm! It's a harder sell with only 5 of them, as Hannah has given up and has moved to live off the land. They can't do ANOTHER reunion tour the year after the last one ... but only Rachel could possibly do solo shows ... So I guess a new album? A GH album?
August 4, 2024Aug 4 I think it's safe to say that it'll be a while before they do anything again. Especially considering how much of this last 18 months since they first announced it as a seven has been a total rollercoaster of emotions. I'm just happy I got to see them and make 12 year old me super happy. If they do anything else beyond this that will be lovely but I'm under no illusion there absolutely will be.
August 5, 2024Aug 5 Hopefully we get something but even if we don’t I’m not to fussed. This reunion was what got us all their albums and singles + b-sides on streaming, and for that I’m extremely happy and grateful.
August 11, 2024Aug 11 Author The good news is that Jo confirmed recently in an Instagram Q&A that there will be S Club plans for 2025, and Jon's apparently spoken about remixes and shining a light on more underrated songs, including one of his faves Straight from the Heart!
