“Die With A Smile” (36 days) becomes the longest running #1 on Spotify Top Songs Global in 2024, surpassing Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” (35 days).

Iconic!!

It really is a match made in heaven in retrospect, combining two very different fandoms of huge, GLOBALLY popular artists.

I would like to CHALLENGE tjose NUMBERS!!!!

IMPOSSILBLEEE!!!

Espresso is the biggest song of teh year, so ir only dtands to reason it was #q longer on ituned and spotify x Apple Music maybe, as that is for old peoplw

Espresso is BIG, but it is not "#1 in Philippines and Indonesia" big - Anglo-American countries are not the whole world. Those countries + Latin America are making the difference right now compared to Billie and Sabrina.

This is the truth! So many of us online just focus on UK/US etc but Die With A Smile is crossing boundaries globally which is why its numbers are as phenomenal as they are.

so proud of her, even though I'm really not streaming the song itself that much...I just have to be in certain mood for me to stream it!!!

usa, UK, and Japan are the three biggest music markets by FAR. Which means that if you don't do high numbers there, your numbers will not match the massive year hits, like Espresso! So you might be no.q due to being at no q in more countries at once, but the numbers aren't the same as Espresso being 1 in USA

While this has been #1 on Spotify for longest time this year, it's still far, far from all-time top ten on that department. #10 is As It Was with 81 days.

That said, I expect DWAS to rule for at least another 30 days or so.

As biased as I am towards Gaga, arguably Espresso is probably a bigger hit than DWAS.

If you look at Spotify, Indonesia and US gives this song a lot of its streams.

In terms of exposure, Espresso does eclipse this song, but I don’t deny the impact DWAS has and is a hit but more of a ‘sleeper but non-sleeper’ hit if that makes sense.

Right now it’s espresso for sure but still three months left of the year if DWAS can go #1 in the US & UK and stay #1 on global Spotify then it changes
#5 in the UK first look - The Weeknd/Carti track debuts ahead of it but might drop below by Friday (as might Espresso if we're lucky).

Meekul I love you and all but you're talking actual shit xxx

I'm just UNBIASED!!!! And NOT biased towards Espresso, song of the decade, just unbiased in all pop matters!!!! Except for no.1s that NEVER DESERVED IT!!! vs the Spice Girls x

DWAS is the hit of the year, period.

That's major moment, Espresso

Wow, things you read in buzzjack

Song ruling at #1, doing over 10 million plays for weeks, yet being called ‘not a big hit’…like wtf!!!
