Sorry I’m very new to this forum :( hoping this is the correct place to ask

There’s a song I like called “All Eyez On Me” by Monica that was released in 2002. I’ve noticed it was No. 9 of the EOY 2002 Urban charts in the UK, which AIUI is the chart that measures urban music airplay in clubs? It didn’t chart in the top 100 and checked zobbel.de, looks as if it didn’t chart in the top 200 as it’s not even an entry on that.

I find that so strange that a track that was clearly heavily played in clubs never charted. Was there never a physical release in this country or did it break any charting rules?

Worth noting that it did chart elsewhere, No. 39 peak in Aus, 29 in NZ, 81 in Germany, 61/62 in Belgium and 69 in the USA.

Obviously Monica wasn’t particularly huge here, this is the only song I know of hers other than the Boy is Mine (at least compared to Aaliyah, Brandy etc), so just curious about why it never charted, and if there is a chart position what was its peak?

I don’t think there’s a huge amount on chart peaks >200, only two off the top of my head are the two weeks that Mel Bs last album had, what was it 473 and 1561 But other than that there’s hardly anything online about anything below 200in the charts

Hi there :hi: Welcome to BuzzJack!

I'm honestly not quite sure myself about where intel such as this could be found but I'm sure some other members on the forum might!

I've never heard of this song but it will add it to my playlist.

You're description of it reminds me of No Games by Serani, probably the most famous R&B song of all time in the UK never to chart top 100.

You can check

On Discogs if it got officially released

I can see some uk promo 12” but no Uk single

So prob thats why it never charted

Cos it was never released

Could have charted on

Import but only big singles did that
