I've always loved Disease. MAYHEM is such a good album, and this remains my favourite on it. So glad that people are coming around to it now!

This is a MUST watch. The creativity and choreography is amazing, and certainly is one of the best fan mades I’ve seen that uses Gaga’s song and inspiration? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJ4Zqu5I5I

It's funny considering Gaga has wayyyyyyyyyyyy more big streaming songs on Spotify than Beyoncé currently.

2M on the first Sunday for such an industrial sounding track is not bad. Cannot see any other artist pulling that off anyway, not even Charli. Maybe Billie?

I'm sure he's trolling about it. Disease had similar opening numbers to Beyoncé last lead single and her back catalogue is FAR out streaming Bey's.

Love to both though but yeah the idea that she needs to be more Beyoncé to get success is ODD.

I’m perhaps thinking single 2 could do better out of the gate. It’s not uncommon for Gaga to have a lead single that does well enough but a second single that does far far better (Joanne and Chromatica both had higher selling follow ups to the lead). I actually can see Disease doing decently though (I mean I hope it does) but I really think that the more awareness it gets the better it’ll do and I think it might end up being a track that charts for a long time within the lower regions of the top 40/75.

Chart success aside though I do really think this is a decent enough song. It’s hard to say as a lead if it’s a good lead without knowing what else is on the album but it is very Gaga, it’s dark enough to be a Halloween staple, she’s not sounded this way vocally before on a Gaga pop album and production wise it’s nothing like anything she’s done since at least 2013. I’m keeping faith that from the rest of this week / next week (providing Halloween has the video) that this will stabilise and be successful of sorts.

At the least we should hold UK top 10! But I do have a feeling too there could be a longer term approach for this and once Die With A Smile peaks in the US there’ll be a bigger approach for this in terms of physicals which may be a big thing for this especially as a Gaga lead.

Beyonce in the past two years had one major no.1 in Texas, a country no 1 trend setting album, and a trend setting dance album, where the singles ADJUST missed out on no.1. JUST. She's HUGE!

There's no point comparing Artists especially them two they both cater a different audience (albeit Gagas is a wider one). Texas went viral and became a success (don't forget fid it not debut low) however from ehat social media and general consensus I believe is one of the most hated songs this year

Down to #3 in the UK Tuesday update (APT above it as expected but with only 100 units at this point).

On Spotify global, it drops to #51 (-13) with 2.392 million streams, but there are 14 songs by Tyler, The Creator above it so a nice hold.

#49 in the UK but taking Tyler away I think she’d have actually risen in position (and only 3 tracks of his can chart too)!

Numbers look good for Monday though so I think we may see some pick ups but really hoping that the video helps! I wonder if her team may push some more variations of the track (it seems atm they’re aiming for Die With A Smile getting US #1) so this has sort of taken a back seat but I still really love the song itself. It’s definitely a bolder lead than what Stupid Love was!

US Radio

#83. (+12) Lady Gaga - Disease — 11.88 (+1.28)
