Surprised there's not a thread on this already!

 

I loved the first so have been buzzing about the sequel, even after all this time :lol: cast is spectacular so I had high hopes, I wasn't disappointed - one of my favourites of the year for sure, I'd recommend anyone go see it tbh

Sequel done right! There's a reason why this was released in cinemas and Hocus Pocus 2 wasn't.

Saw it last night, proper good ridiculous fun! Highly entertaining.

I don't get where the edgy, bad reviews were coming from? This was GREAT! Except for the HILARIOUSLY miscast Jenna Ortega, playing a teenger lol, and the sequence with the stamping passport, which was bland and could have been done better, it might have been better than the first! Great sequel and stayed true to Beetlejuice. I'll say it again, Hocus Pocus 2 could have learned a lot from this.

Absolutely loved it!

I don't think Jenna was the wrong choice at all? That role was basically made for her, it's the sort of thing she's more known for although she is a fantastic actress in general, you can really see her range in the other films etc she's done. Teenagers are almost always played by actors in their 20s :lol:

Saw this tonight. Really enjoyed it. Tim Burton on form.

 

Don’t have an issue with the Jenna Ortega casting. Loved seeing Catherine O’Hara on screen again. Was a bit obvious what was going on with the boy but enjoyed that element still
