September 29, 2024Sep 29 I'm too fond of the original to LOVE this, but she and the whole band do well here too.
September 29, 2024Sep 29 Oh I know the original of this! It's a great version, I've never really thought about how I feel about the original, I just know it from an advert lol x
September 29, 2024Sep 29 A HIT !!!!!! :cheeseblock: I love how they let the imperfect vocals be in the final version (2:32 mark)
September 29, 2024Sep 29 Author This is one of the most honest songs she's ever done. I feel so sad, so nostalgic hearing it and listening to her look back on her career to date. :(
September 29, 2024Sep 29 Will need to relisten to Happy Mistake with the lyrics open in front of me as I'm no good at paying attention to the words of any song, but Gaga's voice told the story anyway, so raw and powerful. A beautiful song!
September 29, 2024Sep 29 Author This following Happy Mistake is genius - picking herself up after her knock backs. She's been a puppet.. a pawn.. a queen.. up and down... she's been through it all and keeps picking herself back up again.
September 29, 2024Sep 29 What a lovely exit from the stage here! She NEEDS to close her Vegas show with this next time. Edited September 29, 2024Sep 29 by Sour Candy
September 29, 2024Sep 29 A triumphant end to the album! The entire thing wasn't always to my taste but a brilliant side project regardless and Gaga's spirit runs through the entire thing. Thanks for hosting this! :D
September 29, 2024Sep 29 Thank you for hosting this!! Overall, the album is 78/100 for me - it's not her best but a brilliant side project, and I'm sure that I'll get into it even more after seeing the movie (probably in a week or so).
September 29, 2024Sep 29 Author It's a mixed album for me. I assume in a few weeks I won't be returning to a lot of it, but the fact it gave us The Joker and Happy Mistake is enough to make it essential in her discography. What an artistic achievement too, releasing this to coincide with Joker and for her to channel Harley through an album - art.
September 29, 2024Sep 29 Author Thanks to those that joined (including those not posting in this thread but listening at the same time as us anyway)
