January 14, 200718 yr i hope it gets good viewing figures, whats the average ratings for that time slot on channel 4
January 16, 200718 yr I like Kylie, and I've seen her on numerous occasions... however, her voice at Saturday's Homecoming Channel 4 thing was terrible - flat throughout, whiny and paper-thin.... geat stage-show - but her voice sounded appalling.
January 16, 200718 yr Author It wasnt amazing but it was by way no way appaling. And that not being biased.
January 16, 200718 yr Watched part of this & although I'm not keen on the tone of her singing voice it was stronger than I thought it would be.
January 16, 200718 yr Author I think a lot of non kylie fans get suprised when they hear her live cos they assume she cant sing
January 16, 200718 yr it had to b ereschedualed in manchester because she had a sore throat :( but anyway she still an amazing singer  :D ^_^ B)
January 16, 200718 yr Kylie's many things - but an amazing singer I truly wouldn't count among them. She makes great pop records and puts on a great spectacular show - as a singer, we should maybe listen to her Somewhere Over The Rainbow (and definitely I Believe In You), which, when it was on last weekend, I looked around and saw everyone watching it with me cringing and curling their toes... and it was the same when I saw her in London last year and a few years before that - some of the songs she manages ok... others she sounds positively awful.
January 16, 200718 yr Well, I've been a fan of Kylie for ages but never really thought her to have a particularly amazing voice... but I was blown away on this tour by her vocal. Especially on somewhere over the rainbow. I guess its just a matter of opinion!
January 16, 200718 yr I know a lot of people don't appreciate Kylie's voice, but I love it, it's so cute...
January 17, 200718 yr i lov eher live voice and listen to live recordings anyday over studio recordings
January 17, 200718 yr Author How can you not appreciate her vocal on "somewhere over the rainbow". Its not mariah but she can def hold it well. And I doubt very much when you looked round people were cringing.
January 17, 200718 yr How can you not appreciate her vocal on "somewhere over the rainbow". Its not mariah but she can def hold it well. And I doubt very much when you looked round people were cringing. Why on earth do you 'doubt' it? It happened TWICE, actually... all through her shockingly appalling 'Somewhere over the rainbow' (I suggest you listen to some other versions of this standard) and moreso through her chalk-down-a-blackboard rendition of 'I Believe In You'. In fact, my boyf actually said "Not being horrible about Kylie.... but she's no singer, is she?" Like I said, Kylie makes great pop records... but as a live experience, the bits that aren't backing tapes betray her actual voice... which is seriously thin and ropey.

Well, I personally have heard quite a few different versions of SOTR and believe Kylie's to be just as good as some of the best!
January 17, 200718 yr Author Well I personally think your wrong. And im sure many other people will agree. Im not saying she has an amazing voice but she can easily hold a tune. Her vocals werent fully there for the tour cos of the illness but there are many performances where her vocals are spot on from that tour and esp previous ones.
January 17, 200718 yr i have always enjoyed kylie's live vocal voice and im a big fan of hers and i truly mean it when i say i think her live performances of songs are far better than the studio ones,
