I think this is a decent cover. It changes the song considerably and adds her own stamp. Should've been released weeks ago if we wanted it to do anything but I think it's just a throwaway release unfortunately.
As the Springsteen version is the "definitive modern version" of the song, I don't think this will ever do much but it's a nice addition to her (sparse) Christmas catalogue.

Christmas is a bit dangerous route for pop artist. Underneath the Tree ended up to be a final big hit for Kelly C., Sia charts only with Snowman these days, almost all Laufey's chart hits are Christmas songs, no one cares about Bublé beyond the Christmas season... I'd rather have her NOT become "a Christmas only artist" so a one-off every now and then is perfectly fine for me.

Chart success with Christmas albums can be left to Gwen Stefanis and others.

Here's the whole clip of the song btw

What the hell is this, I really don't like what she is doing with her voice this and the live versions of disease are dreadful. She sounds truly horrendous, like shocking.

What is going on? It's like a parody, piss take?

All the artists you mentioned were already out of the game when they came up with Christmas stuff, they had nothing left to lose plus they getting a fat check during the Christmas season. It's definitely not a rule nor is it the current state of Gaga's career. If everyone can have a piece, so can Gaga. A Christmas album in 2025 would be perfect at the end of LG7's promotion, she can record it between the tour shows.

Yeah, I was about to say I don't think Kelly Clarkson and Sia's careers would have panned out any differently regardless. Releasing Christmas music isn't what made them falter
Also not meaning to be nitpicky but Clarko did have 'Heartbeat Song' after that so it wasn't her final hit.
