The "pimp slot" is just a term used online sometimes to mean the headline performance, or the last performance on something like X Factor/Strictly/etc, where the hype is concentrated.

Yes, I actually really like that but more confused over why they’d remove a song released less than a month ago by a confirmed artist for Summertime Ball.

Why is it that Shake It to the Max (FLY) and What the Hell Just Happened? only get played during the evening show and nowhere else? Show Me Love was originally the same but it gets played outside of the evening show.

That's how the playlist works, there are different layers to it, and some only get rotation during the evening show.
