I'm sure they're prepping that seat for Arvid Lindblad.
August 27Aug 27 Author Twenty five years today since that overtake with Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher at the Belgian Grand Prix.
August 28Aug 28 Some massive deflection from both Colton Herta and his Andretti Global boss, Dan Towriss when both were quizzed about rumours that Will Power will replace him in the team next year, thereby allowing Herta to move to F2 and set him on the path to an F1 seat in the future. When specifically asked if that was the plan, Towriss said 'That's not what we're reporting today'This would be a very interesting move and could set up the potential for repeats of this kind of move, especially with teams like Prema who have entries in both series. Anything that tries to solidfy F1's regular claim to have the 20 best drivers in the world in the series is a good move.
Sunday at 14:533 days Norris having his Malaysia 2016 moment!Hadjar getting a podium before Tsunoda is peak things we love to see.
Sunday at 19:443 days I think he's done enough to deserve it despite the recent slump in form. There's no obvious replacements out there either imo
Sunday at 21:193 days Agree that there's no obvious alternative to Antonelli anymore, next years car will be a complete re-write of the current one and they are giving him the time to develop. There's plenty of talent there, he just needs to get his confidence back.
Sunday at 21:383 days Author True there isn't really an replacement for Mercedes, He'll get his confidence back, Kimi.
Monday at 10:032 days Another shocker from the stewards all weekend once again.Leclerc not getting penalised for overtaking Russell outside of the white lines.Overly harsh penalty for Sainz for a racing incident with Lawson. And now Hamilton has a 5-place grid penalty in Monza for a brand new, never before seen reconnaissance lap infringement (reminiscent of Russia 2020).Sure I missed more lol.

Monday at 14:192 days Author Oscar Piastri has become the first McLaren driver to achieve the grand chelem in 27 years, the last time an McLaren driver did this was Mika Hakkinen at the 1998 Monaco Grand Prix.

Monday at 18:442 days Sainz penalty was harsh I felt but in line with the letter of the rules and not totally unexpected. He tried to overtake on the outside but never got his front axle alongside Lawson's. Put's him at fault.Racing incident for me but I'm not arguing it took much.Leclerc was originally going to be punished but no camera angle the stewards had could conclusively prove all four wheels off the circuit. I said at the time and having watched it back, still think hus right rear may remain on the right side of the line. Inconclusive and both Russell and Toto argued fir a racing incident anyway. To be honest I felt Leclerc should have been warned for moving under breaking against Russell but no one else bar Chandhok seems to have pointed this our.Hamilton didn't slow for double waved yellows, that he was instructed would be present at that corner by race control (as were all drivers) Slam dunk penalty. Surprised they waited more than anything and he got off with a lighter penalty than normal.Sauber presumably were in the middle of convincing race control the part was safe when it fell off. Nothing they can do after that but throw VSC but Stroll took it out of the picture pretty quickly. Edited Tuesday at 08:141 day by Severin
Tuesday at 08:411 day With reference to Mack's comment about Piastri's Grand Chelem, there have only been 69, all achieved by only 27 drivers in the history of the WDC. An average of just above 1 per season. Scoring one is no mean feat.Of those 27 drivers, a total of 18 of them are World Champions, between them they hold an impressive 54 of the 75 titles awarded to date.8 Jim Clark6 Lewis Hamilton5 Alberto Ascari, Michael Schumacher, Max Verstappen4 Jackie Stewart, Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Sebastian Vettel3 Nelson Piquet2 Juan Manuel Fangio, Jack Brabham, Mika Hakkinen, Nico Rosberg1 Mike Hawthorn, Stirling Moss, Jo Siffert, Jacky Ickx, Clay Reggazoni, Niki Lauda, Jacques Laffite, Gille Villeneuve, Gerhard Berger, Damon Hill, Fernando Alonso, Charles Leclerc, Oscar PiastriNot bad company to be keeping there. Tuesday at 08:541 day Indeed, the grand chelem is one of my favourite F1 statistics and love the fact that Jim Clark still holds the record even despite his relatively short career.Interesting that Prost never recorded one in his entire career but then he wasn't known to be a particularly outstanding qualifier.
