August 28, 2025Aug 28 Some massive deflection from both Colton Herta and his Andretti Global boss, Dan Towriss when both were quizzed about rumours that Will Power will replace him in the team next year, thereby allowing Herta to move to F2 and set him on the path to an F1 seat in the future.When specifically asked if that was the plan, Towriss said 'That's not what we're reporting today'This would be a very interesting move and could set up the potential for repeats of this kind of move, especially with teams like Prema who have entries in both series. Anything that tries to solidfy F1's regular claim to have the 20 best drivers in the world in the series is a good move.

September 1, 2025Sep 1 Sainz penalty was harsh I felt but in line with the letter of the rules and not totally unexpected. He tried to overtake on the outside but never got his front axle alongside Lawson's. Put's him at fault.Racing incident for me but I'm not arguing it took much.Leclerc was originally going to be punished but no camera angle the stewards had could conclusively prove all four wheels off the circuit. I said at the time and having watched it back, still think hus right rear may remain on the right side of the line. Inconclusive and both Russell and Toto argued fir a racing incident anyway. To be honest I felt Leclerc should have been warned for moving under breaking against Russell but no one else bar Chandhok seems to have pointed this our.Hamilton didn't slow for double waved yellows, that he was instructed would be present at that corner by race control (as were all drivers) Slam dunk penalty. Surprised they waited more than anything and he got off with a lighter penalty than normal.Sauber presumably were in the middle of convincing race control the part was safe when it fell off. September 2, 2025Sep 2 Indeed, the grand chelem is one of my favourite F1 statistics and love the fact that Jim Clark still holds the record even despite his relatively short career.Interesting that Prost never recorded one in his entire career but then he wasn't known to be a particularly outstanding qualifier.
